If you are just getting started, I encourage you to explore the new Entity Framework Core instead of older Entity Framework 6.

This depends heavily on the query planner of your SQL engine. Consult the documentation of your SQL engine.

The query planner decides how to execute a query, and it will make sure that the best approach is taken. If you want to see for yourself, you can use the tools for the SQL engine to preview the query plan; PostgreSQL has an explain for this, and SQL Server can show the query plan. Then you can review both and see for yourself.

Right, I have multiple applications and I use React for the frontend development. It is my personal choice, as it is very easier to start prototyping the UIs and then host the apps online as well.

But, Angular, Vue.js, and other frameworks such as Blazor (C# based) also work just fine. It depends no what is needed by the framework as well.

Just a quick note: If your binary search performs a sorting (O(N logN)) and then performs a binary search (O(logN)) then I can tell you roughly that linear search will perform fewer operations (O(N)).

JSON is just there to help you with the data interchange between the server and the client application. If your client-side part contains the styling, then your server should have that as well.

I would like to recommend using email templates; either custom or mail vendor provided ones. They would help you in many ways.

Oh, and always try to prevent HTML content that is not validated for XSS and other forgery scripts, it would lead to a big trouble for your service in future.

Normally, Entity Framework should be able to check for a duplicate based on the primary key.

But, if you do not have the primary keys and you want to "INSERT" the records but ignore the duplicates, then the first query which records are available.

I would recommend using a stored procedure to improve performance.

You can:

1. Remove the browser history using Windows History API
2. Prevent the browser back button event.
3. Close the tab.
4. Run a script on the previous page to check the session or the browser history state (if the next page was log out page, close the tab).

Also, .NET 5 is still in preview so several libraries/packages will not be available for use, and that means most of .NET related work that helps in this area does not work.

It means that the user account that you have created either did not have a login set up properly for the database, or the password is incorrect.

If the page is not loading, then you can do two things:

1. Check if the request is being sent to the page you have added (check under the Network tab in your browser developer tools).
2. If the request is being made, then debug the code and see where (and why) it fails.

More likely, it would help you decrease the area of the error. If you see a 500 in the Network tab, then it is a problem with the PHP code execution—otherwise a problem with the SQL logic. These are just a few starters. :-)

It means that your ASP.NET web application does not have access to the user's machine (including their hard drives). The best thing to do is to allow the users to download a file, which browser will allow them to save on their device.

Otherwise, a web application cannot access the user's machine due to sandboxing applied by browsers for security and privacy reasons.

I would highly recommend using SQL relations and perform a delete on child tables automatically as the parent data gets removed. That is the benefit of using a SQL database.

There is a difference in ExecuteScalar and ExecuteQuery, please read their documentation to know about the difference — a quick answer is that ExecuteQuery would return the records and ExecuteScalar would return a count of the rows that were processed.

To fill the data to rows, you use the DataReader, then you can simply use indexers ([]) to access the column value. Please check the link I provided for DataReader it has the answer to your question. :-)

I don't know how you are comparing pivot to a stored procedure? A stored procedure is just a function, where the pivot is something that you are looking for here.

I guess a pivot around PropertyName is something that you want... Because there is no way to return the columns based on properties like ... [PropertyValue] as 'PropA' since the data is intertwined.

Read more on PIVOT here and see if that sample tells you something.
