'How do you think could it be hit on performance?'
Actually I have no idea. I suspect there should not be a serious difference in performance compared to 'memset' but at the end it will depend on compiler implementation.
The performance side is interesting though, I'll make some test in my spare time to see if there will be significant hits on performance. Thanks for the idea. :)
BTW: Maybe you know this, but it's important to note that this kind of initialization (with empty parentheses) is not specific for dynamic arrays and it can be useful in other situations (I've omitted this fact in my original post because the context was dynamic arrays related).
You can have a look at this useful thread as a further reference:

Yes, it is part of C++03.
You can try it and it should work with standard conforming C++ compilers.
The disadvantage of this syntax is that it's not compatible with older compilers like VC6 for example.

Hi Alexander,
It's part of C++03 Standard.
For example lets take a second link from your comment.
Have a look at 5.3.4 -15 (Page 92):
'If the new-initializer is of the form (), the item is value-initialized (8.5);'
The important parts of 8.5 for us are -4 and -5.
From 8.5 -5 (Page 166):
'To value-initialize an object of type T means:
...........
— if T is an array type, then each element is value-initialized;
— otherwise, the object is zero-initialized'
My intention was not to mislead and if my post is misleading please accept my apologies. I just shared a little-known part of the C++ Standard.
I also not use this feature because this kind of syntax is not supported by old compilers (VC 6 for example) and some of my projects must be compatible with them. But for new projects on new versions of C++ compilers I believe that using this syntax is not a problem. I've tested it with VC9 and VC10 and it just worked fine. I'll test it also with GCC and if i encounter a problem I'll let you know.
Sorry for the long post, I hope now it is clear that my intention is not to mislead or to defend the usability of this feature. I knew it was a part of the standard and I just wanted to share it in this appropriate context. :)
Best Regards,
Nuri

For default initialization of dynamic sized arrays C++ provides a little-known special syntax:
int arr_size = 100; // Or some run-time dependent value
int* p = new int[arr_size](); // Empty parentheses - the array will be zeroed
This syntax allows only default initialization with empty parentheses. You cannot pass values or use expressions in the parentheses. :)

Nuri

You have to elaborate a bit.
Did you draw this image or it comes from nowhere? If you draw it, then where is your drawing code?
Where actually the image is drawn (directly on the dialog, on a static control, etc.)?
Please post relevant parts of your code.

Yes, you are right Richard. His question is reasonable.
Maybe the fact that the answer could be easily found with a simple search motivated this down-vote, but the question is not a code request, therefore IMHO it does not deserve this down-vote.

Compiler or linker errors?
This 'C++ source file', is it yours?
If not, then where you get this source?
I ask these questions, because if this file is a part of a library then there could be some specific requirement(s) to compile/link it.
Also, you can post the error messages here, just copy them from your IDE.
With given information it is almost impossible to tell where the problem could be. Please update your question with some details.

And what have you tried so far? What is your specific problem? Where are the relevant parts of your code? If you have answers to these questions, please update your original post with these answers.
P.S. Please do not expect from people here to do your assignments. First you have to try to solve your problem by writing some code. If you think that you are not ready for this, then pick up a good programming book... Come back here and ask a question when you face some specific problems. If you do this I guarantee you that you will get a lot of help here.

No problem, normally I wouldn't notice such a detail, but nearly a month ago I wrote a small cmd line app which works with arguments.
BTW, all of the remarks from your answer are good and valid. Maybe you should update the answer in order to reflect this little detail about the argv[0], because I'm not sure if the OP will take care to read the comments. :)

Griff, the loop must start from 1 (int i = 1) and 'argc' must be at least 3, because 'argv[0]' is reserved for the process name. Example cmd line: 'my_prog.exe 5 6' -> argv[0] = my_prog.exe, argv[1] = 5 and argv[2] = 6.

And about the operator check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ternary_operation
A citation from the above link:
'Many programming languages that use C-like syntax feature a ternary operator, ?:, which defines a conditional expression. Since this operator is often the only existing ternary operator in the language, it is sometimes simply referred to as "the ternary operator", though it is more accurately referred to as the conditional operator.'
I didn't know about this Wikipedia content and I found it now, but I remember some time ago we've had a discussion with my classmates at university exactly about these two terms and the conclusion was that using 'the conditional operator' is more accurate. All of this is a matter of taste of course, no matter what term is used more important is to know what is hiding behind it.
Thanks again and best regards,

As I've already said I see no problem in this especially if you are not planning to create a separate Installation project for your app. Your file is not large on size. It is easy to replace the resource if you need to change the file f.e. for the new versions of your program, but that is up to you. :)

Andrew, the "endif" statement must be at the end of the file, like this:
#ifndef __MYHEADER_H__ //Must be unique
#define __MYHEADER_H__ //Must match the previous line
typedef struct {

int SomeFunction();
// At the end of the file

It appears that is easier to restore back the focused texbox, the caret position in it and the selected text length in it than preventing buttons to get focus (at least in WinForms). Please see my updated answer to your original question.

Better is preventing the buttons to get the focus I think, and I updated my answer to this direction. I believe that my first update is still valid for the OP. :)

@Estys: Actually this could be the case of OP. But he can still "remember" the last focused texbox (using GetFocusedTextBox()) before click on a button and append text to it. I forgot to mention this issue. I'll update my answer. Thank you!

Please do not post fake answers to your own question. If you need to clarify something update your question (see "Improve Question" link on the right-down corner of your question)and/or post a comment (see "Add Comment" link on the right-down corner of every answer) to an answer that you target.
BTW: Yes, you can use a few properties to achieve what you want - it is all explained in the link that I already gave you in my answer. The idea is to try yourself first and if you face some specific problems come back and tell us about them. This way you will also improve your skills.

Actually rnd.Next(10) will return a value in interval [0, 9] but the default names for textboxes start with number 1 (i.e. textBox1) therefore I think that "textBox" + i.ToString() is not very appropriate in this case (what if the value of i is 0?). Also, what if there are more textboxes and these that will get the random focus are not the first ones added to the form? I know that the OP was not specific and for a general question of this type I believe a general answer suits better, but that is a matter of taste. :)
Best Regards,
Nuri

From your previous questions I suspect that you are using C++\CLI, but your question is tagged as C++, which refers to native C++. Please clarify this, because setting the label text is quite different in Native C++ Windows applications than C++\CLI WinForms appapplications.

OK, a 1 vote. But at least please say what was wrong with my answer.
The OP asked for a big endian to little endian conversion and I gave him 2 links which contain examples for both big to little and little to big endian conversions. The second link even contains Endian class, that helps for conversions. The OP asked for streams, but with given information at least I cannot help him with streams, because he didn't clarify what exactly is using. If he improves his question with more specific details, I will improve my answer, too. But with given information that is the best I can do and if it deserves 1 I want to know why.
Thank you
