My heater broke the other day. Of course. Winter coming. Heaters don't break in the Summer.

Anyway, the guy came and fixed it.

Anyone know anything about heat pumps? That's what I have here.

Used to be, it would kick on all at once - fan, indoor unit, outdoor unit - and run until the house met the magic temperature.

Now, however, when the kicking-on point is reached, the outside unit starts up, then the inside unit and they both run for at least 5 minutes until the fan kicks on and starts blowing the warmed air through the ductwork.

Which is "normal"? The used-to-be way of it working, or the current way?

The current way actually makes more sense...don't start blowing until it can blow warm air...but it never ever worked that way before (7 years worth of never ever, anyway, since that's when we moved in).
We won't sit down.
We won't shut up.
We won't go quietly away.
