I don't think this will help at all:

IMO the disappearing messages are the ones that are not solved at all, but get removed:
- because some reply said "wrong forum"
- because the OP got aware and ashamed it was a silly question
- etc.

None of these would get a "solved" mark anyhow; questions that really got solved
by one or more good replies tend not to disappear AFAIK.

IMO the only category that may be covered by this is the question that did not get
answered but got solved by the OP using other means; I am afraid that is a small minority...

Maybe you should gather some statistics on disappearing messages (i.e. keep them, hidden,
for a while, and manually try to figure out why they got deleted).
