Step through the code line-by-line. It's the only way your going to see what's going on. Look in the Local Variables box in the debugger after each line executes so you can see the values of variables.
I can't tell you what's wrong because I can't see enough of the code. You'll learn a HELL of alot more if you step through and watch the code yourself.

In the project that you want to use your class library in, you have to add a reference to the library.
If the class library project is in the same solution as the project you want to use it in, add a project reference. If your library is completely finished and won't be changing, you can add a reference to the .DLL that your class library is in.
Only after the reference is added, will your Imports statement work and your code be able to use those classes.

I got an error message as "IIS dose not Support ASP.Net version 1.1 you can not run the application " while running the WebApplication on VB.Net
I have done all the things like
1> Configuring the IIS
2> Reinstalling on .Net
The Error Still remain
Can anybody tell me the solution.

Your problem is not code related.
I have an application that I wrote two to three years ago when I was starting to learn Visual Studio and Visual Basic .NET. The application uses Peedy and I use the "Speak" syntax also.
On my Windows XP development system, all I see are the words display over his head on the screen.
On my Windows 2000 system I see the words, but also hear him say the words.
I've compared my systems and have no idea what is installed on my old system that allows him to talk. My Windows 2000 system is about 7 years old and started out as Windows NT. I've installed many software applications on it and removed many of them over the years.
I have no idea what driver or software is installed that allows him to speak, but I can say one thing. It's not the VB code.

hi! here's my problem...i'm using a listbox where i drop objects and they're added into the list...now, i want to implement that, when a selected item is dragged and droped into the form which contains this list, the item is removed from the list...
i've implemented it, but it's not working very well...sometimes when i drop an item into the form from the list, an exception occurs telling me that there was an error with the list's bounds...here's the code:

I recently came accreoss an application that creates a database, complete with data and stored procedures etc. on installation of the application.
Can anyone tell me how to do this? I use VS.NET 2003.

The way I do this is to ship the .mdb file of the database with all the procs, tables, reference data etc in it and use sp_dbattach to attach it to the server.

Another way to do it is to script the database and it's data in an .SQL script file, then have the SQL server execute it during the installation.

I believe you can script the DB objects, but not the data. I have been wondering myself how to do this with scripting...
The way we handle the problem is to include a script, which is run to create the tables, views, SPs, etc. Then, we also ship an XML file of "base" or "setup" data that we load into a dataset, and then save to the database, right after initial setup.

There's absolutely no reason why you wouldn't you be able to put a bunch of INSERT INTO statements into a text file and have SQL run that too.
The XML version you have works too.
If you have a TON of data to preload, create a DTS job to import it. If it's a bunch of data, an XML import works too. If it's just a few things, you could drop the appropriate INSERT INTO statements into the SQL script...
The point is it can be automated, it's just a matter of preference how you want to do it.

To create the scritp just right click on the database and try to find the command "Generate to script..." may be in the "All task" sub menu. But it just generate the structure of the database, not all of the record.

Hi all,
is there another control or a way to ovorcome the timer limitations in VB6? I mean that the standard control can be configured to a maximum of 65535 ms. I'm interested to set it to minutes. Is it possible or is there any other control to do that?

There's no way to change the control. Setting a Timer for minutes is also not a real good idea. Usually, people are doing this thinking it can be used as a scheduler to launch some task at a specified time. That's a bad design.
In any case, you're much better off setting the Timer for, say, 60 seconds, then in the Tick event, checking the current time against the scheduled time of the process you want to launch.

Only if the motherboard supplyies such information and you have some software interface to get at it. 99% of them don't.
