*waves hand over Ravikhoda's head*
WOOOOSH!
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?
--Zachris Topelius

Lincolnshire is in Scotland now? This devolution movement is starting to look more like a leveraged management buyout every day.

If it was Scotland, the staffy would be known as 'quite a catch' compared to the local women.

I edited my link. I'd been reading some of Auntie's Scotland reports. It's useful to see how the oppressed minions are doing now and again.

[Well it's almost scientific]
We were walking to skool this very morning and Younger Daughter said hello to a young chap. The following conversation took place:
NV: Is he in your class?
YD: Yes, he's my reading partner [rolls eyes]
NV: Don't you like him?
YD: He's 'okay', but he's not very clever.
NV: Why do you say that?
YD: He likes Dr Who.
So, the jury is in. Dr Who fans are as thick as matron's custard. Further research will be made to find out if Dr Who is the cause of Mr Thicky Syndrome or just an observable effect.

Second you can question everything school teach the children and well everyone has his or hers tastes.

Indeed: Strawberry (which isn't a berry) jam or raspberry (which also isn't a berry) jam. But not Banana (which is a berry).

So why isn't it called a bananaberry?
And why can't you buy Bananaberry Jam?

For the same reason guacamole isn't made from Avocadoberry, and wine isn't made from Grapeberries.
But Dangleberries... let's not go there.
Johnny J. wrote: And why can't you buy Bananaberry Jam?
You can: Amazon sells it[^] - well, Banana Jam.

How would you get the last of it out of the banana-shaped jar? You have to think of these practicalities in the world of jam-making!

Can't get it out of the jar. You'd be in a jam!
