I have to agree. COBOL in .NET is funny, but it's out there. I worked on a COBOL.NET app for about 6 months. Would have been very easy to start the transition and replace COBOL with C#, piece by piece, while re-engineering the app. However, the short term view of too many Cobolasaurs is "just have to make it to retirement"--meaning they ain't converting nuttin'.
