Host Bob Duffy showcases four applications that scale up well from netbooks to Ultrabook™ devices: Shufflr*, Ancient Frog*, Fandango*, and Pinball HD*. And in the TweetCap segment, Host Rhonda Peters shares the buzz on HTML5 and posts regarding developers being business savvy when developing apps.

Bob shows that innovative developers are thinking about how the apps they’re building will work on different screen resolutions and hardware. Shufflr offers a very responsive interface, allowing users to see video that friends are sharing. Video can be rated, watched on source sites, and shared with friends. A catalog of media content on the web is also available. Fandango allows users to browse movies in theaters, peruse a visual catalog, synopses, clips, ratings, photos, and cast information. Those with a Fandango account can also purchase tickets.

Two games demonstrate the rich possibilities of developing apps for multiple devices. Ancient Frog scales seamlessly to higher resolution and even better graphics, depending on device. Likewise, Pinball HD’s 3D pinball system offers a scalable game experience marked by rich graphics, smooth animation, and touch interactivity.

Finally, Rhonda Peters shares Tweets on taking app development beyond technique—such as considering the business side of app creation, and the impact of HTML5 on the web.
