Are you running same code on windows and Linux?
Looks like there is an issue while calculating number of bytes to read (int nbytes for LTIUReadWrite::Read() call)
How do you calculate that?
Also are you sending files?
Put some more code to get answer.

You are writing binary data in .txt file without any delimiter aand line break, and .csv files are string data having (,) comma (mostly) as delimiter and line break to separate objects, so you need new reading logic in loadsn function.

When you tried 7z's C API to open the file, what was the error?
What is the file format zip or rar?
Are you able to extract these files using 7z.exe utility or winrar?

You said "Computer A does not have the Username/Password details of Computer B".
But actually computer B requires Username/Password of computer A in order to start/stop/restart service(s) on computer A.

Thanks for accepting the answer :-), You can use Tomcat JSP container(Free) for your JSP code, JSP is very easy where you can embed java code (Java socket) and you can communicate with your with your C++ code using object serialization boost serialization is quick development way to shared objects between java and C++, better if you create your own serialization mechanism.

It seems that your DNS configuration is not working properly.
First try to ping that domain with
COMMAND=> ping smtp.gmail.com
Output could be like :-
Pinging gmail-smtp-msa.l.google.com [74.125.53.109] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Timeout is not an issue, if you got ip [74.125.53.109] then if fine.
But if not the check DNS entry for your network interface (connection).
This exception is because domain name "smtp.gmail.com" is not get resolved to its IP, not because wrong code.
or you can try :
smtp.Host = "74.125.53.109";
instead of
//smtp.Host = "smtp.gmail.com";
Good luck. :)

write this code in the same procedure (function) where you authenticate user on login request
