I think it is far more acceptable for a final studies project to do some research with the manufacturer than it is to ask here for a solution!

However, valid research is usually acceptable in any project - but note that plagiarism (copying someone else's work) is never acceptable. Asking questions in this forum does not constitute research.
Suggestions:
Approach the manufacturer or use the handbook to find out how to receive data from the device.
Once you know what form that data will take, then do some further research to determine how to save that data into a database.
If you come across problems then come back with a specific question, posting the code that you have a problem with and a description of the problem or error.
