As Mike Dunn points out, there is very little point in using XAML until Longhorn ships and our customers actually have it.
However can I (again) recommend you have a look at Marc Clifton's MyXaml[^]. This is XAML but useable today with the .NET framework.
I've been experimenting with it since the original Code Project article[^]
It takes a while to get to grips with but soon becomes a great way of building form based applications. It is now my tool of choice for building my business solutions.

Off-topic perhaps, but does Marc's MyXAML attempt to be compatible with Microsoft Longhorn XAML?
No. You can read my blog regarding why I'm not. Besides, I'm really not interested in a limited solution that works just for Longhorn, nor am I interested in duplicating the Avalon namespaces.
Unless Microsoft decides to do something devious, then MyXaml will work just as well with Avalon when it's finally official. In fact, imHo, it will work better, because it is a consistent markup, while the curren Microsoft XAML implementation is not.

Then 2 more so all security bugs become discovered, exploited and patched. (in this order).
Due to technical difficulties my previous signature, "I see dumb people" will be off until further notice. Too many people were thinking I was talking about them...

Ask me again 10 years after Longhorn ships, when people in countries other than the US can actually afford the hardware it requires.

Err, you don't think that people outside have good hardware?

I am *not* kidding, and the marketing guys here can prove it. Perhaps in Europe, things are better. But in Latin America and eas Asia, things are not. In fact we have to continue to support old OSes (e.g., Windows 98) mostly becuase of that.

So true. How can I use XAML when it does not exist yet?

Well technically it does exist, the Longhorn releases do support it - but it's not implemented on any platform that real developers are using. That's why I like MyXaml, it's here now and does what I need it to today.

I'm a little disappointed that the poll doesn't contain a "Yes, MyXaml / Xamlon/ XUL" option.

Agreed, but I didn't say informative, just informal. Certainly not very scientific either. But, if the CP poll is any indicator, most people don't even know what XAML is! So much for a market, eh?
