Hi Kevin,
I never click links that do not make clear in some way what the content is ... unless: the post title is explanatory, or, the link is a post, or in a post's thread, where the context and content make it very clear it's possibly relevant to something I'm interested in.
I'm flexible, however: if I see a thread has a lot of responses, and people I respect are saying interesting things, that may motivate me to open some obscure link,
cheers, Bill

LeGuin's "Left Hand of Darkness" (1969) was a revelation to me in many way. I heard her speak at Berkeley circa 1975; in "Dispossessed" she wrote:Quote: It is our suffering that brings us together. It is not love. Love does not obey the mind, it turns to hate when forced. The bond that binds us is beyond choice. We are brothers. We are brothers in what we share. In pain, which each of us must suffer alone, in hunger, in poverty, in hope, we know our brotherhood. We know it, because we have been forced to learn it. We know that there is no help for us but from one another, that no hand will save us if we do not reach out our hand. And the hand that you reach out is empty, as mine is. You have nothing. You possess nothing. You own nothing. You are free. All you have is what you are, and what you give.

The Earthsea Trilogy together with The Left Hand of Darkness were great reads - she leaves behind a treasure trove.

Can you combine it with a Claymore?

Do you mean a Scottish Claymore or a M18 Claymore mine?
(I think that the former is cooler, but I doubt that your garbage collection service accepts human bodies. )

Sat behind a car today that had 2 sticker on its rear windscreen. I don't think the owner saw the irony, but it certainly gave me a chuckle. The stickers were:
"Trust in the Lord", followed by "I'm with the RACQ" (Royal Automobile Club of Queensland).
Cheers,
Mick
