I believe visible light travels further and reflects better so should get to a few more places, like the back of a PC.
OTOH, they say LiFi has better security than WiFi because 'light doesn't go through walls,' so the guys in the next building can't get your signals, but, but, unless of course they have windows (glass ones that is) that face your windows - and again with light having a longer range it could be any building on the street with LOS to your office windows. So once more only real security will be encryption.
They don't mention, what if you have different networks in the office, with WiFi can use separate channels, but with LiFi? Likely they will need to add baggage to the data to separate; it will be fast enough but will add complexity - and as everybody knows complexity = more issues, more failures and higher costs.
(Also won't be able to stream movies using the company WiFi when sitting on the toilet.)
It's a good idea, but it won't beat let alone replace RF.

WiFi and LiFi are both electromagnetic energy and in fact are just different spectrums of the EM band. So, if you can have different WiFi channels you can have different LiFi channels. A WiFI channel after all, is just a EM frequency range, hence a LiFi channel will be the same.
In any case, LiFi will likely be used only for "Internet of Things".

Now I have the choice: Yet another debugging session of a huge piece of code that I ported to framework 4.2 and now has some problems. A shader (that's code for the graphics processor) which previously worked simply does nothing anymore. The .Net code in the graphics engine still does its job and feeds polygons and textures to the shader, there are no exceptions or any other signs of trouble, but nothing is rendered. Everything still worked until I had to recompile the shader as well. The problem probably is not on the .Net side, It looks like the compiler for the shader has some problems, even if it worked well for the other shaders.
Anyway, my other choice is to charge batteries and go out on a field and fly with the heli for the first time this year. Do we need a poll to make that decision?

When the North Polar ice cap melts, the sea level will not rise by even a millimeter. That is because the northern ice cap floats on the water below. According to Archimedes' Law, it already displaces the amount of water that it would displace were it to melt.
I grant you that the melting of the South Polar ice cap will raise the sea level by 50-60 meters, which will have a major effect on coastal cities. It will also turn my apartment into a valuable beach-front property (yay!  ). However, at present it appears that the South Polar ice cap is gaining ice.

I have failed indeed if I must explain.
The Poles (Polish: Polacy, pronounced [pɔˈlat͡sɨ]; singular masculine: Polak, singular feminine: Polka) are a nation and West Slavic ethnic group native to Poland. [^]
And the batteries performed well. I did not notice any sluggishness. I kept them in the car so that they did not get cold and during the flight they warm up from the inside. The motor can draw a current of up to 40 Ampere. Not many batteries can handle that without first getting really hot and then blowing up.
The real problem were my fingers. By the last flight I had almost no feeling left. I think I landed the heli by pure will alone.
There was only one little casualty: The cheap camera gave up. Perhaps I killed it when I pressed that tiny button with numb fingers, or it simply was too cold, or maybe it got wet when I dipped the landing skids into the snow. I'm going to take a look how much it recorded, if anything at all and maybe I can revive it.

I use those.[^]
They are not cheap, but I have been using mine for two years now and they still show excellent balance (all cells within 0.01 V difference) and still no noticable loss of capacity. I must have reached the 100 charge cycles which are usually assumed to be the life span of a lithium polymere battery, but they seem to be as fit as ever.
At the beginning of my old video[^] you can see both the heli and the batteries when I make it ready for the flight.
