You've just failed middle-school physics.

When the North Polar ice cap melts, the sea level will not rise by even a millimeter. That is because the northern ice cap floats on the water below. According to Archimedes' Law, it already displaces the amount of water that it would displace were it to melt.

I grant you that the melting of the South Polar ice cap will raise the sea level by 50-60 meters, which will have a major effect on coastal cities. It will also turn my apartment into a valuable beach-front property (yay! Laugh | :laugh: ). However, at present it appears that the South Polar ice cap is gaining ice.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack.
