Really, you should heap Kudos upon them what be down under.
After all, if they didn't have this to their credit, someone else would have to take their place. Sure, in the states we have Texass. Across the Atlantic, of course, you've the entire Euro-Zone (specifically France) but basically, they've lighted the burden on your shoulders.

I've had enough of it. In case anyone else is enduring it up to this point, the solution is to disable JavaScript for MSDN pages. For FireFox I'm now using the addon "YesScript" for that and it works great, pages load as fast as before MS elephanted it up.

You can do it directly in Chrome:
"Settings"..."Show advanced settings..."
"Privacy...Content settings..."
"Javascript...Manage exceptions..."
Add "msdn.microsoft.com" and set "Behavior" to "Block"
Press "Done" twice.
But I don't notice any difference - it doesn't seem dramatically slow to load to me even with JS enabled:

Maybe it was in conjunction with FireFox, which of course, MS didn't care to test. Though I think I checked it with IE 11 some time ago and it was the same delay (~8 seconds).
