I don't mind the fixed font size on CP as much, because at least the font is a readable size. It's the idiots who set their font to 6 points and don't let you resize that get my goat. That's right up there on the WebPagesThatSuck-o-Meter with sticking the entire page in a fixed-width table (like 400 px wide).

I reckon a "tip of the day" would be a cool section to have. People could submit their tips and each day a new one would be displayed with the same as articles to comment on the tip etc.

I have noticed a many language specific questions appearing on "Visual C++" message board. What I am purposing is a new board to specificaly answer these types of questions. I would enjoy not only answering these types of questions, but also enjoy reading the answers that others provide (consider it a learning board).
I am proposing this because of questions like the following:
1) Why use? if(0==x) instead of if(x==0).
2) Why am I getting an error:
struct mystuct {char* pStr; int n} test = {"test",1,000};
3) Can I import files into my project using #include:
#include "somefile.cpp"
4) etc...
May be it could be called "C/C++ Language" quesions.
I refused to write in C++ code until I could write (ANSI) C code in my sleep. C++ is great, but after many years of writing in C++ (mosly MFC not ANSI) I still need more input.

I have been getting frequent (about 60%) errors when trying to post replies in the forums. Most often are the 'not posted' or 'duplicate post' type. In every case, when I checked back my post was, in fact, posted correctly. Once in a great while the response will actually identify which server produced the error - this week they've all been Web4. Could you possibly modify the script to always display the source server of the error? It might be helpful to you if we could identify the responsible server when reporting errors.

Last sunday CP made me to relogin. After I logged back this one[^] look weird to me.
It shows as if I didn't read any of posts in all the boards.

Well, i've seen the GeoCities "This page is not available." page far too often for it to surprise me anymore - it's not the prettiest page around, but i'd say it's more mundane than weird.
(Sounds like your cookie got deleted/expired btw - or, you went to thecodeproject.com instead of codeproject.com or vise-versa)

Now that's weird. I made sure that it's avaliable when I posted my earlier message. If I go from CP via my post I get the same error. 
But if I type it in the URL box, it works.

I didn't reboot my machine and I was using the same URL via favorites.

After someone selects some text in the area and clicks on the link button, Would be nice that the anchor is added without the unnecessary http://something content in it, and then the caret be positioned right after the quote, so that if someone has a url in the clipboard waiting to be pasted, IJW!

Dear CPians,
How many times you found an article that you really wanted to read but didn't have the time to do it that very moment?!. It has happened to me many times.
As My Favourites list on IE is growing bigger and bigger and I have started losing control of it, why not have a READ LATER list in CP. Every article could have a button to add the article into your READ LATER list or something like that and then you could easily go back to it...
Just a thought!...

Look for a "Bookmark" link off to the left of the articles. This puts them into a list accessible at any time from the "My Bookmarks" link at top left.

Do you know that page where you can look at all of your previous posts? It would be great to see what the score of each rated message is.
Yes, I want to see if the smart-ass comment I made in the lounge got massive approval or was just tepidly received.
It would also be great to see how many responses there were to each message.

Seeing that some articles like this one[^] get some great reviews and consistent high scores, by a large number of CPians, could we see a "Code Project Seal Of Approval"
For example, an article that gets over an hundred votes and an average score of of 4.5, would get the seal of approval.

voting seems to go like this:
5: the post was funny, well put, or you agree with the content.
4: it was pretty good, but not worth a 5. or, you know if you give it a 5, someone will come along and give it a 1, out of spite.
3: used only rarely: usually when you want to bring a post's rating back to normal levels, gently.
2: used when you can't find the "1"
1: the post was incoherent, a flame or troll, or you simply disagree with the content but lack the ability to put that disagreement into words. it can also be used when you don't like the person who posted. it's not uncommon to see 1's applied to every post made by a particular person, regardless of content.
(i am sure this was not the intent of implementing the voting system)
