Hmm...
Most science is about disproving a theory or providing a best guess framework which works with current data.
There is not much Proof in science, mainly theory and supposition and a lot of thinking why the experiment did not produce the expected result.

The great truth about scientists is they start from the basis of "I Don't Know" and usually end with "I think it may be the case that..."

Unlike religion which starts with "This is the unadulterated truth and we are right and you will burn in eternal hellfire and damnation if you even begin to think contrary to what was written in this book by bronze age peasants" and ends with "Let's Kill People!".
