I've found an Android game (VCMI) which runs Heroes of Might and Magic 3 on your tablet. Now, years ago, I spent a fair amount of time with HOMM, so I thought "Its free, I'll give it a go."
So, install VCMI on tablet - OK.
Now it gets difficult. You have to install HOMM3 on the PC first, then copy the game files to the tablet. So first - find a copy of HOMM3. OK - there are a couple in the "old games" drawer...Found one!
And lets install...oh dear. NT SP4 not found...System not up to spec...32Mb RAM needed and you only have 4Gb...Install anyway?

OK - I'm off to the toolbox to get some side cutters, and clip a few ram chips out...If I'm not back soon, somebody send in the RAM mounties, will you?

I solved the problem running 128 instances of the game concurrently. The gameplay was a bit more difficult, though.

They have been a charged-for item here in Wales for two years now, and I haven't used a supermarket thin disposable for about three - I started practicing to make sure I have bags in the car.
And you know what? In practice it has had no adverse effects. There is an exemption for prescribed drugs (free bags, unless you add a non-prescription object to the bag) and the one thing you don't see is "waste" bags dumped or tossed in the bushes like you used to when kids had finished with the "pie, crisps and a can of cr@p" that replaced a school lunch. For some reason the lack of a bag to throw it all in has made them tider with the rest of their rubbish...
It works - get used to it!

Maybe. We too have this big woven things, but I always forget to take them. And what about the smaller 'metro' type supermarkets where people buy their lunch at work? You don't always know you're going to a supermarket until you get there.
It's a sad fact that the filthy masses just chuck their bags in the bushes, but that's hardly a reason to prevent the civilised from having them.
I'll get used to it, I suppose.

You don't have to have enormous bags - I have a small cloth jobbie which fits well in a pocket for "little shopping". It's just a case of being organised and remembering - keep it in your desk! In a year or so, it'll be second nature.
It's not just the "rubbish-in-the-streets" - it's the "rubbish-in-the-ground"! Landfill is expensive, and hard to locate for a new site - no-one wants it close by. And the more your council throws in landfill, the higher the fines they get from the EU and the more they put your council tax up to compensate. So think of it as saving money, as well as natural resources.

Don't get me started on fly-tippers. I'd rather the council let them go to the local recycling centre for a couple of quid or for free than have to spend far more coinage cleaning up the mess where they've tipped. Between us and Horsham is a nice country road and there's a gated track where there are regular dumps of rubbish. For sure, it's not all bag-based but the mess is horrible to see. The muck you see isn't just the big boys with vans but also smaller domestic tipping. If the owner brought the gate closer to the road it might discourage most of them because the location where it is now makes it easier for vehicles to pull off the road and do it more covertly.
If there is one thing more dangerous than getting between a bear and her cubs it's getting between my wife and her chocolate.

What pisses me off about this is that I reuse every single carrier bag I take home from the supermarket that desn't split open (which is less and less as they try to annoy you into buying reuseable ones).

We've had that for a couple of years now;
You get used to keep a bag with you all time (I always keep 1 or 2 plastic bag in my work bag).
I'd rather be phishing!

My family has over two hundred of those reusable bags.
We also keep the plastic bags for cat litter.

I remember when they used to charge for a bag back then! If they had put all that money from bags in a bag fund just think how much it would be worth now! Just think, a bit like the Norwegian Oil Fund.

Here in Austin plastic bags have been outlawed for several months now. I haven't seen much difference, since you can get paper bags at most stores for free or bring your own bags. The biggest difference is we no longer have the plastic bags that we always used for our trash cans in the house. So, whenever we go out of town, we stop and pick some up.
I'm not sure that taxing the bags will have the right effect, but I think there are bigger issues to get upset about, if that's one's idea of fun.

Last time I took reusable bags into the market, the check out clerk scanned them along with the groceries and the bagger kept the extras

That is so lame.
Marks and Spencer introduced this and I simply don't bother shopping there anymore. Its smug environmentalism that is not based on facts, but rather observer bias as suggested in the article by the minster announcing it. Bags are unsightly, therefore they must be taxed. If they want unsightly the Lib Dems should check out the fat bergs in the sewers.
Well shopping is taxed at 20%. Got to make it even more irritating now when going shopping having someone at the checkout evil eye you on the bags you use. The UK getting increasingly lame every year.
