Hi All,
I have designed a Report Viewer(Local report) ASP.net with c# 2008.
I am getting the output in my system but while am deploying into server then am getting the below error.
"The definition of the report 'Main Report' is invalid.
The report definition is not valid. Details: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, position 1."
I have installed report viewer in my server also.
i have copied my .rdlc file to my server then i have tried but the below the error am getting....
"An error occurred during local report processing"
using Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms, Version=9.0.0.0...
Kindly guide me how to rectify this....

We are develop an Asp.Net web application that work with pervasive 8 databases (OleDB Connection), my problem is when I try to insert a data into employee table with any UTF-8 encoding such as ARABIC,
the following Exception shown:

Judging from the messages above, the error is being raised by your database interface, so you will need to investigate what the problem is with the statement it it trying to execute.

Which database engine - Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL Server, ...?
How are the columns of that table defined, most important: the column receiving the arab text.
How does the code look like for inserting the data (e.g. your ClockDB.AbsentRequest.Save(Record rec) method)? Do you use a parameterized query?

command.executenonequery()

I have an interesting and rare situation. There is an single stand-alone ASPX and C sharp file I am debugging. It is not part of a project or web site.
It runs with other files and libraries within a folder of other aspx files and other supporting files. Normally I could debug the file by loading it locally in Visual Studio and attaching it to a copy of the web site running from local host. But here is the tricky part and the thorn in my side. The aspx file uses a lot of libraries that are part of the CMS system we have and the associated database is particular of what clients have access to content on the server.
So my best and immediate solution to this problem is to use some sort of method of writing out to file and/or having pop up windows to show the process. How can I do this in aspx? How can I do this in C sharp?

i tried this but when i run my package manager console its give me this error

then i instal powershell but after that again same error

Well, you need to install PowerShell 2.0. I suggest you google that.

The Decimal Data type can store exactly that, a decimal value.
Within your example the 18 means, the number of digits that can be stored and the 0 us the number of digits that can be stored to the right of the decimal point.

In MySQL DB....
decimal(4,2) allows entering only a total of 4 digits. As you see in decimal(4,2), it means you can enter a total of 4 digits... out of which two digits are ment for keeping after the decimal point.
So, if you enter 100.0 in MySQL database, it will show an error like "Out of Range Value for column".
So, you can enter in this range only .... 00.00 to 99.99

One of the values in the row.ItemArray isn't supported by VB's string conversion helper. If you're using .NET 4.0, try using the Join method from the String class[^] instead:

Why have you added a CType call? In .NET 4.0, there is an overload of String.Join which takes an Object() array.
