Another possibility is you landed in an unsinchronized server. Did you F5, F5, F5 ???

Quote: I want to bookmark a article. When I click the "bookmark" button, it changes into "saved".
But it is not stored in my bookmarks.
I don't know why. When I bookmark other articles, this phenomenon will not happen.
This article is BackgroundWorker and ProgressBar demo[^]

That might be because it's not an article but a Tip/Trick.
You can switch to Tip/Trick bookmarks by clicking on the link below the large Page Title saying
"Your Article bookmarks on CodeProject" -> Your other bookmarks: Tip/Trick
Edit: However, I must admit that's not that obvious at the first sight... Probably room for improvement

Hi, I was trying to read this discussion in the lounge:
The cost of software[^]
But I was finding it hard to navigate all the posts because the thread was quickly being pushed down the loung pages so I used "View Thread"
So far so good, now, only three pages that do not shift and can move back and forth on the discussions, "except" that at the moment I expand another post, I go back to the lounge view and get caught again in a thread shifting scenario. Basically what happens is that I can't maintain the view of the thread only, it goes back to viewing the entire lounge.
Known bug? I've searched a little and didn't see any other post related to this problem in particular

Chris,
Same thing is happening as the ultrabook contest and could really do with a warning header that is automatically injected into the article submissions if they are placed in the Azure Contest category.

I made a post, which has received 4 votes in total (all of which are 5). But the message seems to be removed as it was "abusive" to some person (presumably one). I can assure that nothing was abusive or wrong in that post.
May I politely suggest that we rethink about how many reports are needed to remove a post as abusive? At the very least, it CANNOT be just 1 report (no matter how 'super diamond' kind of member is casting that vote).

Every day, I scroll through the Daily News looking for some interesting stuff. After a few weeks of doing so, I kind of get the feeling that there is a bias towards articles and blogs involving Microsoft products. I understand that a great deal of developers are developing for the Windows platform, but personally I would be more interested in articles regarding open source alternatives. Trust me, I'm not intending to reboot the ever pending holy war between Linux and Windows, but I was just curious if my observation was correct. Is CodeProject in some way sponsored by Microsoft or is this bias purely due to its dominating market share?

We're actively encouraging our members to explore all technologies and there is no editorial bias towards any given vendor (though at times I may have a strong bias against[^] a particular vendor).
The news that's posted is purely reflective of our demographics. I'll give Mr Insider a nudge though.

Pardon me if this has already asked before. I was on hibernation.
I can see that downvoting on the Lounge has already been disabled, which is good, IMHO. However, I was going through the forum posts of someone who wanted to quit(I'm not mentioning names, and I know I don't need to ) and noticed that it had a score of 1. How was that possible?
Signature construction in progress. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I you report a post a vote of 1 will automatically be applied
(I think there are some limitations for this rule. I believe something like this vote of one is only applied if the downvote is disabled or something like that)

Nope. Whenever a forum post is reported, it gets voted with a "1", but the downvote has no impact on the rep points.

Posts can still be reported as spam/abuse in the lounge.

I accidentally clicked 'Mobile' at the footer of the website. The display style changed. Now when I wanted to revert back I could not find an equivalent like 'Back to Standard Mode' at the same position where I saw 'Mobile'. However this was present somewhere near top of the page.
Can we have this these links at the same position interchangeably?
