I wish you guys would just turn off the rep points for downloads so that the reduction in points later on (when you adjust it) doesn't hurt so bad.

You could temporarily remove your download hyperlinks...
OTOH, if historical download rewarding and the imminent point reduction were to occur simultaneously, we might not even notice much.

That might be true, but still - the longer we go without the adjustment, the more noticeable it will be (for most of us normal folks that don't have 100 or more articles).

The news page is now missing two of the previous days links which are appearing on the next page. It looks like it swicthed back to showing 24 rows again instead of 26.

0) When you hover over the stars graphic for the question, you see the popup that indicates what votes were made (distribution from 1 to 5), but you DON'T get that popup for the answers. Instead, you get a popup textbox that provides the current rating and the number of votes.
1) When the distribution popup is displayed, it's not aligned at all with the stars.
Personally, I don't care for the stars and prefer the old bar. Secondarily, it seems to me that the item rating could be displayed under the stars without the need to pop up that text.

Crap by whose definition? I have seen questions downvoted because someone didn't understand what was being asked, but was a perfectly valid question if you had the right knowledge about the subject. And what are you going to do with that rating? At least Luc has a reason for wanting downvotes on articles - so he can avoid those articles in the future. What are you going to do with that rating? Look it up some time in the future, to have a good laugh?

You have not broken any rules per se.
People are downvoting because they are not able to understand what you are trying to say (to be honest, neither am I).
Just do remember that programming questions are not generally taken well in the Lounge - you can try some other forums for that.

Advertising your articles is considered bad form. If everyone who posts articles advertised them in the Lounge it would be overflowing with such messages. The formal rules of the Lounge are displayed at the top of the page. The unwritten rules you have to learn as you go along. If your message gets downvoted then that is an indication that you have done something which people think is not appropriate so you should avoid doing it in the future. Remember that all these forums are largely policed/monitored by CodeProject members so you may find inconsistencies in the way that some rules are enforced.

It's the nature of a mob I'm afraid. The problem is, rather than just ignoring the comments you tried to attack them for doing so - repeatedly posting the same thing. Most of the people in the lounge have been active participants for a very long time, so attacking them provokes a fairly primal response and their friends leap to their defence.
Next time, just ignore them. Don't descend to the same level.

Unless you are a popular regular in the Lounge, people don't like it when you advertise your articles there. A more accepted approach is to add a link to your signature. Many people do it (including myself).

Kinda funny that the one message I mention having links to articles in one's signature would end up without the signature getting posted. 
I'm guessing that was a bug, as I would not delete my signature on purpose.

If I write a message in Site Bugs / Suggestions (much like I'm doing now) and end the message with the confused emoticon (  ) and press CTRL+A (in preparation to select all and copy the message in the event the message has an error when posting), the entire message is erased. 
IE9. Doesn't happen all the time, but I was able to reproduce it when I started typing this message (and have modified this message a few times and now I can't reproduce it, though I could reproduce it in a new tab). Ah, there we go, I can reproduce it again:
