keefb is not attacking you. He has, as others have pointed out, placed an abbreviated transcript of a discussion between yourself and myself in his sig. Technically it's not an attack and not abusive, but it's clear that it was written in order to have a little poke at you.
He's only quoting, not making any comments on the discussion, so I'm not going to force him to do anything. I would much rather keefb didn't have that signature, but I would like, even better, for you and everyone else to settle down.
The more you complain about everything the more you fuel the guys to give you a hard time. Just let it slide, move along, and things will quieten down.cheers,

A couple of things:
1) Since you have brought attention to it, I suspect more people have read that you have negative reputation points.
2) Since the original discussion was publicly broadcast to the world, it can hardly be an attack to quote you, particularly when it is not out of context.
3) The truth is not considered an attack in law - for the simple reason that it is the truth. If you don't want it to be public knowledge, don't point at it an shout in a public forum!If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

Hi all,
In the mentioned page (http://www.codeproject.com/script/Articles/ArticleModifyRequest.aspx[^]), it is suggested to use gif/jpeg and file size as small as possible.
As most of images included in articles are screenshots, I would suggest:
- For screenshots (dialogs), use PNG, it has 100% quality and great compression for flat color areas.
- For photos or dialogs with photos, use JPG, it will compress better.
I would not recommend GIF. A standard GIF palette will produce noticeable color dithering.Best regards,

These are old, old (circa 2000) recommendations. I will update.
However, I use ACDSee for GIF compression and it's fantastic. Very few colour artefacts.cheers,

I tried to edit an article I just posted, and it won't let me scroll all the way to the end of the article in the editor pane.

The editor page was providing a subtle hint: your article is way too long. If you can't tell it all in a reasonably sized article, are you sure you really understand the subject?

I only read code that is properly formatted, adding PRE tags is the easiest way to obtain that. [The QA section does it automatically now, I hope we soon get it on regular forums as well]

I think it's more like a shock to the system. It actually *is* a reasonably sized article. The problem is that so many short non-articles have been posted as articles, the system thinks that they must be representative of an appropriate size..45 ACP - because shooting twice is just silly

For quite some time now, "step 3 of 4" of the Article Submission Wizzard states: "Article must be 100 words or more." The standards have dropped so much your article for sure must be shocking.
Of course the 100 limit is completely ridiculous, the boiler plate text is more than 100 words!
