i have a task of designing admin page
the admin has the ability of adding , removing , and editing a question area
question is an image with 3 check boxes
how can i do this?
or how can i create the question dynamically when the admin inserts the pictures and the texts of the check boxes to me?
suppose that the question will be placed on a specific panel on the user page
another explanation : in any iq test how can i post questions with images to user online without returning back to the code

Dear All,
I have a problem in asp.net gridview control.I've put a textbox and an image button in the footer row.I want a popup window to be viewed when I click this image button.In this popup window there is a link button I want to pass its text to textbox in the parent window(that is in the gridview footer).
I hope my question is clear.

Hi there,
Look for something called Modal Dialog in Javascript, in which it gives you the ability to Show Popup Window with a content of your choise.
P.S: this is not a GridView Control problem !

If I have not misunderstood your problem, then you can achieve it by using following javascript code which should be attached with the client side onclick event of the linkbutton :
window.opener.document.getElementById("ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_txtBox").value = val;

I know there are many basic sample designs in DataGridView that I can choose.
And I also know I can modify the form of it in property. (something like font size, color of cells)

I would suggest you to go back to basics and buy a good HTML/CSS book.
Anyways, what you need to do is to make the right and left border of cell transparent.

Hello ... I have a really, really simple scenario which i can't accomplish.
1) I have a WebControl called "BaseControl". In that WebControl i just place a panel (100px x 100px) and turn it's backcolor to green.
2) I create a second control which inherits the BaseControl. However when i place that control the green panel is not displayed.
I assume that the i can't inherit the html ? Is there a way i can do this ?
Is there a way i can achieve that simple inheritance ... or a workaround ?

You can inherit code, but not markup. If you want to have a hierarchical control model, you would need to design your base controls to use either manually rendered html with helper methods that inject html rendered from child controls, or use control compositing and helper methods that allow child controls to inject their own content.

My requirement is to develop a web application where sales(plan vs actual) is shown in a map.
I dont have any idea about doing this. Please suggest me how can we do this?
I am using VS 2005. Do we need any third party tools to do this?
A map will be there, on which all my offices at different locations will be shown and when a particular office is clicked, sales details should be shown.

hello,
when i put a hidden field in a form and run it i look at the page source and see the following :
<input type="hidden" name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$UserName" id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_UserName" value="sasa" />
<input type="hidden" name="ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$PassWord" id="ctl00_ContentPlaceHolder1_PassWord" value="tttyyy" />

i want the names to be UserName and PassWord and not with
the 'ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$' before them
how do i change it ?
those fields will not be posted back to the page but will go to
another url which is not related to my project. i added the 'postbackurl=' to the button click
btw , i dont use simple html hidden tags because their values are set from a database

you can just user html input ,not asp.net input ,if you change the name the server will can not find this input.

Hi all,
I have created a class library for my application. I have some typed datasets in this class library. While creating the datasets , VS asked me whether to save the connection string in the config file and it created a seperate app.config file in the class library. What i need is that while calling the class library, i should be able to pass in the connection parameters from my applications web.config file and it should not create ant app.config file.
How can i do this??? Any help would be kindly apperciated...

Add reference System.Configuration namespace to your class libarary.
Use ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["YourConnectionStringNameFromWeb.Config"] in your in the class library.
Therefore when this class libarary is called in the asp.net web application, it automatically get the connection string from web.config.

The problem is:
I have asp page (P1.asp) and inside it I call a function (.draw) in another asp page (P2.asp)which hold all data about the graph I wanted to draw it in P1.asp inside BUT after compilation P1.asp, the graph (the result of P2.asp) will show first then P1.asp will show.
I need to show the result of P2.asp after compilation in the same in a specific area I means not in the top of the page then loads P1.asp
I need--->P1.asp to load everything: same contents of P1.asp contain and here display the graph or the result of P2.asp after clicking buttonsthe wrong---> load the graph of P2.asp here in the top of page then load P1.asp down of the graph.
