Hi all,
I have created a class library for my application. I have some typed datasets in this class library. While creating the datasets , VS asked me whether to save the connection string in the config file and it created a seperate app.config file in the class library. What i need is that while calling the class library, i should be able to pass in the connection parameters from my applications web.config file and it should not create ant app.config file.
How can i do this??? Any help would be kindly apperciated...

Add reference System.Configuration namespace to your class libarary.
Use ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["YourConnectionStringNameFromWeb.Config"] in your in the class library.
Therefore when this class libarary is called in the asp.net web application, it automatically get the connection string from web.config.

The problem is:
I have asp page (P1.asp) and inside it I call a function (.draw) in another asp page (P2.asp)which hold all data about the graph I wanted to draw it in P1.asp inside BUT after compilation P1.asp, the graph (the result of P2.asp) will show first then P1.asp will show.
I need to show the result of P2.asp after compilation in the same in a specific area I means not in the top of the page then loads P1.asp
I need--->P1.asp to load everything: same contents of P1.asp contain and here display the graph or the result of P2.asp after clicking buttonsthe wrong---> load the graph of P2.asp here in the top of page then load P1.asp down of the graph.

Do you know Session is maintained at Server and javascript executes at client. So why in the world, you want to assign a variable to session through JS.

Hi all, I have used some html checkboxes in one webpage. Using client side script I am putting some values in the Value property of those checkboxes.
But I am not being able to recognize those values from my server side code. I have tried the following techniques, but invain.

string str=Checkbox1.Value;
But none worked.Can any one help me out???

Hi
My requirement is i have an application form which has entries like name,dob,qualification,exp and upload resume(file field). when somebody fill this form, upload his resume and press submit ,i want these details and resume to get in my yahoomails inbox. but when i try this with local host it doesn't work i hve given the ip address in default smptservers relay button. i am using asp.net 2003 can anybody pls help me why i am not getting this correctly.Below i am giving the code i hve used

Why did you assign both IP and localhost to SmtpMail.SmtpServer in the line SmtpMail.SmtpServer ="localhost"' "127.0.0.1"?. Use either one.
Also post the error message, if this is not working.

use smtp.net.mail
make object of
SmtpClient smtp1 = new SmtpClient();
smtp1.Send(objMail);
objMail containt the details of Mailt TO, Mail From, Body etc .
use this u can easily send the mail.

Hi, I am trying to set up a text box, which as soon as the page loads, the IP of the visitor is shown in a Text Box.
The Text Box must also be locked, so that the user can see the IP, but not edited.
I am using the following code:
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox4" runat="server" ReadOnly="true" Text="<%(Request.ServerVariables("remote_addr"))%>"></asp:TextBox>;
But it is not getting the IP address, instead it is just displaying: <;
Any help about how I should tackle this problem? 
(Btw, I'm using C# in Visual Studio)

use proper bindig with text. u missing the method which bind the data with Text Property. make changes as follows.
