I would say you only can do that with a repeater or a custom control where you override the Render Method where you control everything.
If you are going to try the Repeater, try to use ITemplates classes for your repeater (those can inherit from HtmlTable and HtmlTableRow, the parentHeaderTemplate and the RowTemplate. You will see is much easier

You can turn off validation in javascript, I think you can specify your validators in a group and then make your control not be part of that group, or you can just render a vanilla link, so no validation occurs.

Just add "setTimeout('resetFlag()', 5);" to the OnClientClick of the ByPass Buttons. This makes needToConfirm=true again, because it became needToConfirm=false when you clicked the Submit Button with ByPassMethod in it. Thanks for your question bro...

Hi All
I've got the following connection string in my web.config file, when I "view in browser" through VS's built in web server everything works fine, however when I copy everything to the IIS wwwroot folder and browse that I get the following error:
ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified
I've searched high an low but can't get the thing working!

I don't want to use any database access yet, as I don't know squat about mySQL, so how can I set up a paged system, where each page is a scanned image from a product brochure. I would like to have a menu item for each brochure, but then I seriously don't want sub-menu items for e.g. "Page 1", "Page 2".
I could get creative with a generic paging system using MultiView and View, but I need to demonstrate the content tomorrow. This is only p.o.c. for the client, so I need the quickest, and obviously dirtiest, way to page a group of pages. My first thought is a second, horizontal menu, with page numbers on it. Any other suggestions?

2.After that take an active part in Code Project forum just check what other developers are facing problems and also see its solution

I am trying to hide/unhide a calendar that I created inside a gridview. I would like to get it hidden when I click the "Update" option in the gridview. Now after click the "Update" the calendar comes up because I don't have any code defined.
I was thinking if I add some code inside the RowCommand event it could works but I was unable to find the control. I tried this but I got errors in the syntax.
Calendar Cal = (Calendar)Gridview.Findcontrol("Cal1")
Cal.Visible = false;
P.S. I created a button named "CalMABD" to bring the calendar up after click it I tried adding a "onclick" event but I have the same issue to findcontrol of the calendar.

i created a resource file for my webPage for each language, but i want to when user click RightToLeft language, the webPage align it's controls from Right to left, for this, i create a variable in each resource file named 'Layout', then set it for english lang to ltr and for arabic lang to rtl. then in source of page , modify body tag as follow :
<body dir="<% Resources:PageResource1, Layout %>" runat="server">
but when i compile my webSite and set arabic language, nothing occured.
where does my problem and how to solve it ?

Hi Gurus,
I have interesting question in front of me.
I have a GIS (mapping) application which has Login.aspx as login page and a startup page.
it redirects to MAP page where the map is shown also at the left side I have a pane where the report like controls are .
Now I have generated automated mails which will give me information about some items from the map and it will have link for those items which need to be located onto the map.. but see there is a barrier here login.aspx. User will click the link in his mail and it should straightaway take him to
the application locating inside the map. I know how to locate but there are two scenarios user may have already this GIS application open or he may not have.
User clicks the link it opens a page which will gather all the information and redirect to login.aspx
One option is to login automatically and redirect to map locating the feature. but my question is can the startup page be given paramteres?
if the user has already open gis application (he has already logged in), now user clicks on the link a page opens which redirects me to this open application.. how how can I locate the open Map window?
and how can I make it redirect externally?
I am a new bee so need some feedback?

I have been given a project where we are sending data from our website to a website that another company owns. They have asked us to use the "Form post" method of doing this. The screen that we are using will require us to send multiple sets of data to their site in some kind of a loop format.
I have no experience in this and am hoping that someone here will be able to give me pointers to where I should start.
Steps
1. User fills in fields on our website and clicks submit button.
2. We loop through the data the user entered and send the data to the website of another company.
3. We bring the user to a "Confirmation" page telling them that their information has been submitted and they will be contacted soon.
We are using ASP.NET and VStudio 2008
