Don't worry about critics who don't give you some advice to work with. I noticed that at least you have the balls to write some articles. Not one of them has written anything.
It would also be nice to have the balls to write some code. When people publish their work, they should have some respect to their potential readers. By uploading completely useless code people make it difficult to search for a good stuff.
I suggest the writer of this program to take a long break (several months at least), and to learn about object oriented programming, to read "Writing solid code" and something similar. Then come back and continue.
IMO it's wrong to encourage people to continue their work just because they have a good attitude (and yes, writing an article is a very good attitude).

I bet you get kicks out of making children cry, all the time.
So what if his screenshots are not great ?
What were you doing at his age ?

Make children cry!?
OK the screenshot isn't pretty. just admit it, and get the point that the screenshot is worse than the article. -> He ment it as some screwed complimenting irony.
By the way: Good article.

This site is not only for people like you! When ANYONE first starts programming for Windows, an article like this would be greatly appreciated. When is 'Anonymous' going to post an article rather than complain about one? What about the other hecklers? Grow up!

U know why is this site been named as CODETOOLS?
|
|
|
|
|
It is not, for those of us able to read and write simple sentences it is actually called Codeproject.

Please remember that this site started once as CodeTools. www.CodeTools.com still works.

maybe so, but just as a pointer is not the instance, a link is not the site and Codeproject has Codeproject written all over. I guess that there is a reason to the change of name.
Anyway, a person who can't even spell "you" has no business critisizing the work of other people.

So, as long as someone cannot spell you correctly, he isn't allowed to express his opinion? Not to speak of U as a common shortcut for you.

I did not mean to imply that he should be disallowed to express his opinions in general, but I really do believe that it at least have to disqualify him from pointing fingers at editorial stuff.
By the way, U is a common shortcut for "you" for scriptkiddies and people who actually think that is the way it is spelled. It is not however part of the English language in any known flavour.

Ok, I've to agree that
Nevertheless, many CPians still use www.CodeTools.com instead of www.CodeProject.com, because they used to (or are too lazy to update their favourites )

Whatever the site is named, it doesn't give reason to complain to the article author and telling them that there are too many ‘Wordpad’ type articles. If anyone had taken the time to check, they would have found that the author has been a member of CodeProject for exactly 4 days. What a welcome some of you gave him. Anyway, I’m cool now. Put yourselves in the author’s position; Would you want silly comments or valid constructive criticism?
Regards,
Paul…

It was so uninteresting to you that you came by to see what it was all about, and submit your ignorant comment. If you don't care just click somewhere else. I'm new to all this, so seeing as many different ways of doing something as possible is very helpful. So just back off cheese-dick.
By the way, that goes for all you other flaming cheese-dicks, too. You know who you are.

You could easily achieve this using the wizard in VC6.
|
|
|
|

But then it would allow you to open and save files. Who would want such a feature?

|

Hello? Who wouldn't want a software with more features?
By the way, you should have explained your code more and not just a off standard snapshot and some codes to download.
It is like providing machine code to people and say hey, i have free codes. Mind to download?
