There should be a validation when there is no text selected and the user is trying to select one of the toolbar items like B I U Strike Small etc. There is already one for 'Quoting Selected Text'. Without this, a careless user can leave filling up the message with junk empty tags, unnecessarily swelling up the page size and download onto the Internet pipes.

We allow empty tags so someone can place a tag set in the message then start typing into it.

I find myself in partial agreement with both of you, but feel that empty tags should be cleaned out by a validater during the posting process.
Otherwise [Microsoft is] toast in the long term no matter how much money they've got. They would be already if the Linux community didn't have it's head so firmly up it's own command line buffer that it looks like taking 15 years to find the desktop.

Actually, I'm not a VB programmer, but I am well aware that VBA is based on the same technology as VB, hence the name Visual Basic for Applications. I was working on a plug-in for Outlook and thus needed some assistance. Please don't jump to conclusion about me.
The reason I thought that a separate message board may be useful is because some of the problems I face using VBA for Outlook are actually harder for me to solve using only a subset of the VB language. Also, one needs to know the object model for the application. These issues have made some of my questions harder to answer than straight VB questions. Also keeping all the code for one application together might be useful especially for those who are just learning VBA for a particular application.
Since you seem to be an expert in both VB and VBA, perhaps you, Rajesh, would be so kind enough to answer my question in my more involved postings. I'm sure that I, as well as the rest of the community, would benefit from your knowledge much more than your weak attempt to belittle me. I'll understand if decline because you are a C++ programmer.
I don't claim to be an expert. I ask questions. I don't favor any computer language. I don't care what is better Linux or Windows. If I don't have something I'm trying to do on a computer, I'm outdoors or enjoying friends, family, chicks, and motorcycles. I have a life.
I read your profile. The first sentence said your are friendly. Please keep it that way.

That was more of a joke. Probably I missed the joke icon and there's absolutely nothing serious with my post. More often than ever, the VBA posts goes into the Visual Basic forum (along with the COM forums, whenever required). Why is that you think I'm unfriendly? I just don't get it. What's wrong with a little pun?
I am a an MFC/Visual C++ developer to the core, as you guessed. But that wouldn't stop me from writing a few lines of VBA Code. I read your query at the VB forum. I feel that it could have been a little more informative. We've got a handful of VB and .NET MVPs here and I'm sure they'll solve your problem. Start a new thread, add a small code snippet, showing how exactly you are trying to achieve your goal, which would help others understand your problem.

I am frequently getting this message since lunch time UK using both Firefox and MSIE7, even after a reboot and even using another computer in my network. (this is what Firefox is actually displaying).

I too am getting this error occasionally. In addition, after receiving this screen, if I click the "refresh" button, the page loads, but the layout is really screwy. By "screwy", I mean that the page is only colored in black & white, and columns/rows are overlapping and in strange positions. All the links still work (and appear as blue links, the only color on the page). Then if I click the same link as the one I am presently viewing, the page loads just fine. Also, the last visited time is ALWAYS the time of last refresh, which is good because it immediately shows me when I last refreshed the page, but bad because it doesn't highlight any of the forums as having new posts. Hopefully I didn't get too far off topic with this response.

I was just casually browsing through info/guide.aspx and homepage links. I felt that the following flavors of text should be amended when an user is already logged on.
You can sign up to become a member for free here.
When the user is already logged on, this text either should be suppressed or changed to 'Update your profile' according to the context.

And it is still crazy to have a pagination page size of 1 record at a time. I think this page has not been updated in the newer CodeProject.

True Rajesh. My doubt was that 'Hall of Fame' page might be old. Since MVP Award Winners notification came through MessageBoards.
Nevermind, if you see another thread, you can find Chris has checked the database and found the issue. It seemed to be some technical snag.

I think the word 'craze' itself would suffice. Isn't it? Once in another post, I used 'guiltiness' in a particular context and some one guided me that 'guilt' itself would hold good. The 'ness' suffix would be redundant.
I feel the same argument applicable for this word also. Or am I wrong? Can some one throw more light on this?
