The value returned for "AUTH_USER" on my PC is empty.

The server (or more correctly, web app) has to support user authentication. In the IIS management console specify something like "Basic Authentication" and it'll access the SAM on the NT client machine when going to the page.

Note, that if the user does not logon to a valid account in the domain, it'll prompt them for a username and password.

It is something that is done by the user's PC rather than the web server.

The server and client work together on this.

By the way, thanks for the quick response.

No problem. Smile | :)
