We did this at CodeGuru and it was a logistical nightmare. It sounds great but it truly sapped the life out me trying to keep things organised.

Maybe in the future when I have spare resources and can dedicate some serious thinking to this, but at the moment we just cannot make it happen in a reliable, organised and consistent way.

We've been working non-stop on a full, ground up rewrite in ASP.NET for about 5 months now. There's no love of ASP here.

a) People are clever enough to find such services all by them selves
b) The translations those engines give are in general good for a laugh only (on a side note, the translations can be hilarious sometimes Smile | :)

)

Something I think would be invaluable would be to have a section in each article that shows what other articles refer to it.

A situation I have often come across is I have searched for an topic, been directed to a particular article and read the article. Sometimes the articles are dated and have been updated in subsequent related articles by the same or another author. Other times, a different author will use one article as a starting point and expand on a topic.

Usually when that happens the author refers to the previous article in their own article. It would be handy to have a listing of all articles that refer to the current one so you could see related content without having to search repeatedly.

Just an idea.

When a user visits his own / others profile, we can see the messages posted
by that user. Is it possible to show number of replies each message has got in front of the message title. This will help to find messages with some replies, after all everybody must be interested in seeing how many replies his/her question has got. I think, this will be very helpfull, if in case it is possible. What do you think about this ?
