What does this have to do with "...some method to check wether a printer conected to my device or not?"
What exactly are you trying to do?

Ok, so is CPrintDialog::GetDefaults() not working for you? How are you verifying there's a memory leak?

What does this mean?
Does it compile/link/run/crash?
You have to be more explicit than that.

In my ActiveX Control Project i simply use an ActiveX Check Box. and when i use The Dll of this project in my another project in which i call the Interface of ActiveX Control Project on ok event of my project that interface is not view. Bt if i remove the ActiveX Check Box from the ActiveX Control Project and make DLL of it and use it in my new project it works well....
So i just want to know how I use DLL with ActiveX Control.

quick question: how do i find the path to the directory in which my executable is saved?
|
|
|
|
|
GetModuleFileName() returns the full pathed name of your application. you can extract from it the current dir (i assume you mean by current dir, the directory from which the application has been started)
|
|
|
|
|
The CWD, per ths subject of your post, can be obtained via GetCurrentDirectory() . This, however, is not necessarily the same as the folder in which the application is running from. Use GetModuleFileName(NULL, ...) for this.

GetModuleHandle(NULL) to retrieve the executable full path, and then ShLwApi.dll's PathRemoveFileSpec to strip filename and get the path.

I see the previous reply voted with 1.
Just for my [sick] curiosity, is there something wrong with GetModuleHandle/PathRemoveFileSpec combination, or is just a retaliatory kind of rating? I really don't get it.

Hi,
I'm trying to add HTML(associated JPEGs are in a separate folder) and MP3 files to a dll and then use them in another dialog based app. Now, thanks to CP i know how to add Jpegs to a DLL and call them but am completely stumped as to how to call the HTML or MP3 via ActiveX(MS WebBrowser Control and W.Media Player respectively)
Any clues?

Its hardly a complete answer, but I think the res: protocol for urls may be of help. I know its used for things like CHM, etc, so it may be helpful to you - at least for html, if not for your mp3s.
Can you not extract the resources to a temporary file (GetTempFilename), play / use that temp file, then tidy up when you're done?
If you're not sure when the external app is finished with (eg) your mp3, you could open it with DELETE_ON_CLOSE flag (going from memory here)

From the MSDN for SetLocaleInfo :
...
"Header: Declared in Winnls.h; include Windows.h."
...
So it is already included. And linked.
Just use it. And read the MSDN-entry about it!
If that does not answer your question, please clarify it!

His question was very clear. He wanted to know from where SetLocaleInfo() should be called.

No.
He asked specifically for include.
You might or might not guess from that whether he could have meant call.
And even then you can not answer it in one word.
Do you have a problem with me answering questions?

He wanted to know where the call to SetLocaleInfo() should be called from (e.g., the project's view, doc, or frame), not which .h file contains the function's prototype.

No, not at all.
