Just for my [sick] curiosity, is there something wrong with GetModuleHandle/PathRemoveFileSpec combination, or is just a retaliatory kind of rating? I really don't get it.

Hi,
I'm trying to add HTML(associated JPEGs are in a separate folder) and MP3 files to a dll and then use them in another dialog based app. Now, thanks to CP i know how to add Jpegs to a DLL and call them but am completely stumped as to how to call the HTML or MP3 via ActiveX(MS WebBrowser Control and W.Media Player respectively)
Any clues?

Its hardly a complete answer, but I think the res: protocol for urls may be of help. I know its used for things like CHM, etc, so it may be helpful to you - at least for html, if not for your mp3s.
Can you not extract the resources to a temporary file (GetTempFilename), play / use that temp file, then tidy up when you're done?
If you're not sure when the external app is finished with (eg) your mp3, you could open it with DELETE_ON_CLOSE flag (going from memory here)

From the MSDN for SetLocaleInfo:

"Header: Declared in Winnls.h; include Windows.h."
...
So it is already included. And linked. 
Just use it. And read the MSDN-entry about it!

He asked specifically for include.
You might or might not guess from that whether he could have meant call.
And even then you can not answer it in one word.

I am new to VC++ Environment.Can you please explain me the use of each library file mentioned below.I would like to know what all files become mandatory (like if we are including one library file we should include some other along with it)

If you have a .EXE using all these DLLs, you may be able to use "depends.exe" (from the VC++-Tools-directory to see the dependency tree, and decide what depends on what.

Regarding your original post:
most of the libraries are common libraries that will be added by the wizard when you create a new project in the IDE.
The other ones are libraries that you've added yourself which means that you are the best suited to answer your own question.

For DirectSound, the IDirectSoundCapture8::GetCaps() will give you the standard supported formats.
The DSCCAPS struct dwFormats member will contain bit flags indicating supported formats. You

For non-standard or non-PCM formats you can try creating a capture buffer and see if it succeeds.
IDirectSoundCapture8::CreateCaptureBuffer() returns DSERR_BADFORMAT if it fails.

Hi All,
I have an array of CString [] with me like CString obj[] = {"one","two","three"};
Is there any way to convert this array to an object of CStringArray type. If not, how to insert the elements into CStingArray in the list form as above without using the add() method for every element.
Also is there any method in VC++ similar to the Join() method in VB that converts a string array to string of elements seperated by delimiters.

You have to use Add() IMHO. It's still 2 lines of code:
CStringArray array;
for (int i=0; i<sizeof(obj)/sizeof(obj[0]); i++)
