Hi Friends,
Iam in desperate need for the following debug DLLs from Windows 2k3 Enterprise Edition French edition.

msvcp71d.dll and msvcr71d.dll (French)

I have windows 2k3 French Standard, it has the normal dll but not the debug dll's.

I need the debug DLLs to run one of my application in debug mode.

AFAIK, the Debug DLLs are not to be passed along and come with VS.

I have a query regd the DLLs MSVCP(D) and MSVCR(D).

R there DLLs dependent on Language (locale) or Unique for all the Language releases of Windows.

unique. when you compile your exe, it has a focused locale which will be the locale with which the DLLs will be seen.

Thanks for the info but if U have a windows 2k3 Enterprise machine of French U can see the debug dlls in System32 along with normal dlls.

If u can find plz send to me..

these DLLs are proprietary and mustn't be distributed like this.
either you have Visual Studio Installed, in such case you have them in your computer, or you don't have them, and there's no chance for you to get them except to buy a VS licence.

uploding web app with Crystal Reports to IIS

Hello everyone!

I have a web app made with Visual Studio 2005 and, locally in workstation, it works fine, but when I tried to upload it from my workstation to the companys web server (IIS) it crashs!!!

Now, the companys web server it's a IIS 6.0 in Windows 2003 Server with the .NET Framework 2.0 installed.

What do I have to install o modify to run this web app in that server?

My web app is using the Crystal Report that comes with the Visual Studio 2005

I send my apologies if I'm posting in a forum I shouldn't, but I thought this could be the best for this kind of cuestions.

I want to access a certain port on a remote pc to see if I have access to that port number, but how do I ping that port number?

You don't. You just try to connect to that port. If it works, great!, if not, then you know.

PING will only tell you if the TCP/IP stack at the IP address you specified responds to the ICMP packet(s) that were sent to it. It won't tell you anything about the port you want.

That was the idea, I just wanted to find out if I could get access to that port on a remote machine on our network, but I got it working without the port needed, it was for SQL Server, to connect to a remote machine database.

Hi all, I have a problem when trying to alter my registry...

Usually i could edit the registry by running regedit, but now when i try it it says that i don't have the right that the administrator might have changed my rights. The thing is i am the administrator of my own pc... I found a virus on my computer "bordok/H" i think was the name... I read up on this virus and found that it changes settings in the registry, are there settings that i can change back to give me full rights again... i am logged on as the administrator now so i can edit the registry but i would like to use my own user account as i thought that i was the administrator to start with...

No such monster. Without knowing the exact name of the virus, it's pretty much impossible to tell you how to remove it if the virus scanner you have can't do it.

And Sorry about the name i was completely wrong... the virus i was talking about is still on my computer. I am running the AntiVir Guard antivirus software... it is freeware... the virus is called Worm/Brontok.H , i almost got it right the first time Smile | :)

. I don't know if this virus would have done anything to my registry as to prevent me from doing a regedit from the "Start, Run" windows option. I can only do a regedit if i log on with the name "Administrator" but usually i could log on as myself and i'd have Administrator rights...

This thing has been around for over a year. Any Spyware tool should be able to get rid of it, like Search and Destroy, Ad Aware, EasySpyRemover, ...

A little Google goes a long way.
