It should say on the top of the chip, if not, you could try looking at the package that it came in. Otherwise, I'm not sure.

each computer are different. one thing in inline-list, otherwise anoter in mic-volume.

I'm planning to build a high-end PC within a decent budget.
(At least I hope to)
I want to know whether the single core Intel 3.2 GHz CPU
or the dual core Athlon 3600+ will offer better performance?
(Let's say I have to choose between these two).
Also, is the single core 3.2 GHz Intel CPU 64 bit? I know the
Athlon 3600+ dual core is 64bit. Does having 64bit mean better
performance?
I plan to run very cpu intensive applications like Audio Workstations
and 3d Graphics software.
Basically, this is going to be a multimedia production and video
editing system.
Also, please tell me to what extent can the motherboard affect
the performance. Is is really a performance factor? Or will a
decent motherboard do?
Please let me know quickly as I have to make the decision within
a few hours.

Hi,
I would recommend you to go for a dual core processors if you are planning to use your PC for multimedia purposes.
Better Performace in 64 bit machines can be obtained by running 64 bit version of the software you are planning to use.
Motherboard too plays a vital role in obtaining better performance.The interface through which it communicates with the processor ie FSB (front side bus) should be high. make sure your motherboard supports FSB frequency offered by the CPU (you can locate the FSB frequency on the processor box) that you choose.

You don't. If you don't have rights to the other profile, you're not going to them.
Boot the machine on something like ERD Commander (Google for it...) and you'll get all the access you want to everything.

I thought you could just boot from the Windows Installation CD and do the same.

You have to have the Administrator account password to use the Recovery Console. If you have that, then why would you want to get permissions you already have to another profile?

If it's your computer, you can also reformat the drive and set it up correctly.
But, somehow, I don't think it's really "your" computer.

That's a lot of trouble to go through just to break through another account, especially when there's so much software out there that will hack an account for you.

My point is, most likely, it's not "his" computer. I won't help people that want to "hack" into their company's computer or anyone elses. If he's locked out of his account on his own computer, odds are that's the least of his problems and he should reformat.

There are tools that will reset an admins password, use a bootable cd, there should be any trouble finding something that does that on google

I've just got an MX610-lefty for my main PC, and tried moving my old mouse to my NT4 testbox to replace the crufty ps2/ball mouse it has currently. The mouse wasn't recognised via the USB port or using the MX610's USB-PS2 adaptor. IS there a driver out there somewhere, or am I stuck with keeping all my antique hardware together.

I don't know of any NT drivers for any optical wheel mice, let alone Dell's.

If it's NT4 the best bet is to get a USB->PS/2 adapter.

It won't work with the adaptor that came with my new mouse for some reason. That was the 2nd thing I tried.

NT 4.0 doesn't do plug-and-play and for that reason, doesn't do USB. (OK, it does a limited ISA plug-and-play.)

Did you already got a USB driver for NT4 on a Dell PC? If not, here is driver that I've used on my old Dell Optiplex GX1 with NT4 operating system. I've used it with my USB flash drive.

Does deploying more than one SMTP Servers with more internet lines i.e. plugging more than one LAN cards on one machine increase the outgoing mailing speed

Probably not. It's most likely that you're limited by the upstream bandwidth of your connection to your ISP. Our upstream bandwidth is only about 400kbps on ADSL.
Your mail server should support concurrent outgoing connections. Ours - Exchange Server 2003 SP2 - is currently set to a limit of 10 outbound connections total, and a limit of 10 connections per mail domain. I reduced these from the defaults - I think the default is 1000 outbound connections. I reduced the limits to ensure that the limited bandwidth was used more effectively, but it does mean that messages can be held up if a lot of large messages are sent (or a single large message is sent to multiple domains).
Large messages are a problem generally. SMTP has no resume capability, so if the connection breaks, the server has to resend the message again from the beginning. This can cause a large message to 'stick' in the queues.
