Are you trying to run the PHP script as CLI or HTTP???
Look into using phpDev[^]
It's a complete easy to install web server setup...
MySQL, PHP and Apache ready to go...
Then you can access your PHP scripts via your browser of choice by using your localhost or loopback address..
http://localhost/index.php
And it runs like it would on the internet

You can do one more thing that if you have done all things with changes in IIs,
You can just do right click on the php file, select php editor and check that always open in.. checkbox. Now press ok and you will get your file in that php editor only.
I know it's a silly answer but sometimes this silly things left from powerful mind.

Hi guys!
I'm developing my first web service, have stumbled a little and was wondering if anybody can offer any suggestions.
I've setup an autogenerated managed C++ web service using visual studio .net....I'm exporting and can use basic methods from the webservice without any problems.
What I really want to do is get my web service method to call methods on a COM object I've written. I've used this COM object many times from managed C++ without any problems by accessing it via an assembly that was generated using tlbimp.
Any web service method that attempts to instantiate my COM object fails and returns an error 500 to the client browser.
Basically, this works -
String __gc* MyWebClass::FindAddress()
{
return S"Address Not Found";
}
but this returns error 500 -
String __gc* MyWebClass::FindAddress()
{
SimpleATLObjectLib::TesterClass *myTester =
new SimpleATLObjectLib::TesterClass ;
return S"Face Not Found";
}
I'm assuming my problem is something to do with security, some IIS setting or the assembly/COM .dll files not being in the correct place but am having trouble figuring out whats going on.
Could anybody make any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
David

Presumably you have referenced the com object...
Can you not just debug it, catch the exception and see what it is?

Hi,
I've been browsing for about a couple of hours now and can't find exactly what I'm looking for so I thought I might as well ask.
I'm looking to find a way to download multiple files using html, specifically a way (script) that when a user checks multiples files and hits a download button, the files will be copied to their hard drive. (Best example of this is streamload's download manager)
The thing is, it's to be run off a cd, so I can't use php, or something similar that requires access to the internet. Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Using JavaScript, you could dynamically write multiple IFRAMES to your HTML page and set the SRC attribute to the files that you want to download. Then, if they don't get opened by some wacky plugin, the browser will prompt the user to download them.

I'm somewhat new to web development (from the C++/ATL/COM world) and recently inherited a project that was half complete. The function in question is generating XML for output. My predecessor had created a window with a literal "aText" to display the output XML. If I have a small amount of text, then it is displayed, however, when I have a large amount of XML it will not display.
Is there a maximum length for a literal field? Is there a better way to display this? My XML is formatted with with CRs and LFs. Is this the problem? If so, I would think I might at least see the first line.
Here's my C# code.
public class GenXML : System.Web.UI.Page
{
protected System.Web.UI.WebControls.Literal aText;
private void Page_Load(object sender, System.EventArgs e)
{
...
string sSuccess = PermObj.GenerateXML(Convert.ToInt32(sAdminID),
Convert.ToInt32(PermLibrary.GetLicenseID()));
aText.Text = sSuccess;
}
}
...and the calling JS code which displays the results.
window.open("GenXML.aspx", "popwin","height=500,width=600,scrollbars=yes,screenX=40,screenY=40,top=40,left=40");
...and the HTML from the page
</HEAD>
<body onload="PopAlert();" onblur="window.focus();">
<br>
<center><b>CHANGES HAVE BEEN SAVED.</b> <input type="submit" onclick="window.close();" value="CLOSE">
<br>
<br>
<asp:Literal ID="aText" Runat="server"></asp:Literal>
<br>
<form>
</form>
</center>
</body>
Anything obviously wrong here?

Hi there,
I have a page which consists of two fixed width floating divs as shown in the code below:
#MenuBar
{
float:left;
margin:0px;
background:#8C8C8C;
width: 240px;
}
#Content
{
float:left;
padding:0px;
margin:0px;
background:#fff;
width:700px;
}
That works fine. But what I'd like to have is that those divs fill up vertically 100% of the available space, eventhough there is not enough content in the divs. Is there a way to do that? Please note, that I have another div at the bottom of the page (the footer).
Any help is greatly appreceated.

I have added links to a few setup projects on my website. These projects can be downloaded and installed by visitors. I previously had just the .msi files but have now put each Setup.exe in its own folder and set the appropriate links.
The .msi files worked fine, but now I get a message telling me that the setup[1].ini file cannot be found in my Content.IE5 folder.
Even if I save the Setup.exe to my computer and try to install it from there, it says it cannot find the Setup.ini file. This was present in the folder on the website.
If anyone can point me to a resource explaining how to deploy my applications via the web, I would really appreciate it.

I think that you are looking at it the wrong way. For all your links that you want the windows to pop open, use the onmouseover event to do that. For example:
<html>
<head>
<title>Pop Open A Lot Of Annoying Windows</title>
<script type="text/javascript">
function popIt( o )
{
window.open( o.href, o.href );
}
</script>
</head>
<body>
<a href="http://www.yahoo.com" onmouseover="popIt(this);">Yahoo</a><br /><br />
<a href="http://www.cnn.com" onmouseover="popIt(this);">CNN</a>
</body>
</html>

msdn.microsoft.com references what is known as a subdomain. A subdomain is a domain that is part of a larger domain. For example, microsoft.com has multiple subdomains, such as office.microsoft.com and msdn.microsoft.com. Each points to a specific Microsoft product area.
microsoft.com/msdn is the address of the subdirectory where all of the information relating to MSDN is stored in the microsoft.com domain. Basically, a subdomain can be the assigned alias of a subdirectory, such that http://msdn.microsoft.com refers to the same Internet space as http://microsoft.com/msdn.
www.msdn.microsoft.com does not work because subdomains are shortcuts to a specific part of the world wide web space of a domain. In other words, msdn.microsft.com is a sub-part of www.microsoft.com and is an alias for www.microsoft.com/msdn. So when you access the msdn subdomain, you are through address translation already supplying www.
