What irritates me the most is parents who are so used to their children screaming and misbehaving that they don't even notice it and don't understand why it bothers other people...
Anything that is unrelated to elephants is irrelephant Anonymous ----- The problem with quotes on the internet is that you can never tell if they're genuine Winston Churchill, 1944 ----- I'd just like a chance to prove that money can't make me happy. Me, all the time

So, I'm sitting here feeling that odd internal whoosh from having a bunch of 120z cups of very strong Cafe Bustello (as mud coffee). Too much too soon. This has happened before, so I recognize the feeling. Upon reflection, however, I realize that this is always a borderline natural state for a programmer.
At this point, I was about to dismiss the whole state, when an epiphany mas grande was bestowed upon me. Unasked, I will nonetheless share:

I'll be popping some corn and getting settled in a comfortable chair before Nagy espies this post.
Have you ever just looked at someone and knew the wheel was turning but the hamster was dead?
Trying to understand the behavior of some people is like trying to smell the color 9.

FTFY
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies.

You're sure you haven't mistaken this feeling? It could be a grande mal episode. Try methamphetamine in large doses to achieve the full epiphany.

You'll never get very far if all you do is follow instructions.

We need big sacks for most programmers, though, and more rocks.

I thought that we'd already established that programmers are cats -- because there are precious few chicks interested in the job.
