So it works to just screw stuff into that?

I wouldn't hang anything heavier than a painting on drywall.
I second Peters opinion that you need to find the studs for the screws.
You can get Stud Finders in most hardware stores. They're invaluable since they won't just find metal as well as wooden studs but they also warn about electric cables.
It might be a shocking experience to put a screw through an electric cable.

have a look at this
http://www.naturalhandyman.com/iip/inffastener/infanchor/infanchor.html[^]
about half way down there is information about the type of anchors as they call them to use.
BUT take care to make sure the wall & anchor can take the weight.
Most I've ever put up on a drywall is a shower.

Being the son of a carpenter I have done this a few times. The most recent time (without the help of dad) I built the walls and knew where the cabinets would go so I installed 2x4 blocking on near the tops and bottoms of the upper cabinets along with blocking near the tops of the bottom cabinets. We used a laser level to draw a level line on the bottom of the top cabinets same goes for the top of the bottom cabinets. In the past I had also used water levels to do this. The screws we used came with the cabinets however Lowes and Home Depot have similar cabinet screws in stock or you can order them online.

You need to locate the studs which are normally 16" apart so once you find one the rest should be easy.
Cabinets have runners/reinforced wood top and bottom that you will need to run your screws through. Generally 2-1/2 to 3" screws are adequate.

In what forum do I ask questions about finding docs (Programmer's Reference Manual; etc.) on a relatively new chip ?
Is Forum: Forum: Hardware & Devices [^] the best place ?
Google/Bing/etc. are returning nothing, or perhaps I don't know how to ask the question.

Manufacturer's website?
For Google the type code is usually sufficient.

Might have been an idea to include that you're talking about SkyLake.
Can't help with that, sorry.

Oh, sorry, I got cooties last time I mentioned a technical topic here, so I didn't want to inject the wrong buzzwords.

Nothing wrong with technical topics here as long as it's not a specific programming question

Why do you beleive that you would find them here when it's a product that has not even been officially announced yet?

If it's a new device, then you almost certainly need to look to the manufacturers; don't they have a tech support address? Or their distributor in your country? I've found that distros can often talk direct to the right person and get info I can't get any other way.

Well, you found more than I did; so, that's a step in the right direction, and thank you for that.
This is pretty obvious to me. (Others reading, opinions confirming or refuting are welcome.) I want info which Intel feels isn't ready for public dissemination.
i.e., I'm asking for more info than Joe Normalguy should be requesting at the moment.

That was a first hit on Google. I was trying to see what the fuss was about.
I am guessing they are pretty pissed at the leak and have clamped down hard. I was going to suggest Digikey or Newark which is a great source for direct links to hard to find manufacturers IC's but on a pre-release leaked info, your chance of more detailed info is somewhat limited....
