Lemme break it down for you:
You're asking for help juggling five bowling balls
CG's suggesting you start with one. Or maybe a softball.

Yep - that about sums it up. I used to read a gaming forum and every week some kid would post 'anyone want to join my team ? I bought a C++ book and I'm gonna write the world's best 3D engine.'

Are you implying there was something wrong with my engine? 'Cause, it was totally all those other slackers who volunteered and then didn't get it done... ;P

I have gone as far as building an "array" with several engines in Javascript.
I want something "neat and clean" as the example I provided. Where the returned results show on the same seach page at the bottom.
The tool is out there, I just figured someone here might have advise on how to get it.
Thanks

Good luck with that. MS put a lot of time and money into making their site spiffy, and you want a free control that does the same thing, when it's only been out a few weeks ?

That link gives me a 500 (server) error. A rather nice one, with text and some sort of search box in like twelve different languages, but nothing about text editors.
If you're just looking for a rich text editor, try a Google search - there are lots of them. For instance: TinyMCE[^]

I am new to .net programming, so please pardon any mistakes I make. On my page have gridview1 and inside the edit template of the gridview1 have texbox8. When the user clicks on the edit button the textox8 should automatically populate current machine date. I am not sure how to access the texbox8 inside the gridview and display the current date.
Following is the part of the code:
<asp:gridview id="GVOpenNCMR" runat="server" allowpaging="True" xmlns:asp="#unknown">
AllowSorting="True" AutoGenerateColumns="False" CellPadding="4"
DataSourceID="SqlDataSource1" Height="369px" Width="482px"
Font-Names="Arial" Font-Size="8pt" ForeColor="#333333" GridLines="None"
PageSize="30"
<asp:templatefield headertext="Closed Date" sortexpression="ClosedDate" mode="hold"> <EditItemTemplate>
<asp:TextBox ID="TextBox4" runat="server" Height="15px"
Text='<%# Bind("ClosedDate", "{0 }") %>' Width="60px"
ontextchanged="TextBox4_TextChanged"></asp:TextBox>
<cc1:CalendarExtender ID="TextBox4_CalendarExtender" runat="server"
Enabled="True" TargetControlID="TextBox4">
</cc1:CalendarExtender>
/EditItemTemplate
Here is the code in my .vb file:
Protected Sub TextBox4_TextChanged(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs)
For Each row In GVOpenNCMR.Rows
Dim textBoxText As = (CType(row.FindControl("TextBox4"), TextBox)).Text
Next
Not sure where to put the code for the textbox to populate system date. Anyhelp would be appreciated. Thanks.

And new to this forum it seems. ASP.NET questions go in the ASP.NET forum, pls.
If you're new to .NET, why are you working on something so complex ? And why is your textbox called textbox8 ?

Hi Guys,
When i LogOut a user on my site a User is still able to hit the Back button in their browser and essentially view a logged in only page.
Ideal scenario would be for this page to send them to Login screen.
What would be the best way to stop this from happening?
FYI.
When a user logs in, i store a loggedIn value in a session variable.
On logout i reset this session to indicate the user is loggedOut.
I am using c# .net
Many Thanks.

The browser will cache pages, unless you ask it not to. Read up on the cache control headers.

Hi,
I want to upload a file to a folder in production server, using the SaveAs method of the upload server control. My target folder is 'E:\inetpub\vhosts\marinasecuritieslimited.com\httpdocs\stockinfo\test_data.txt
However i got this error "Access to the path 'E:\inetpub\vhosts\marinasecuritieslimited.com\httpdocs\stockinfo\test_data.txt' is denied" after clicking the upload button.
Have granted asp.net user access to write the folder, yet the error is still the same.
Can someone help me please?

Hi,
I use to code with the C# language and accessing web services methods are uber easy with the help of VS Studio. But now im trying to do the same, but using Javascript instead.
The link to the webservice:
http://webservices.iter.dk/calculator.asmx[^]
Now the thing is,
1.how do a connection to the web service so that i will be able to get access the methods so that i be able to use it on my form.
2. if there are other ways to access the methods of the web service mentioned above, what are the steps? any tutorials that i can look at in order to understand how Javascript will be able to achieve that.
Thank you.
