Sorry, I went to http://labs.google.com as you just said google labs.
Anyway, I had a look and in my opinion its really a fairly basic control that should be easy to reproduce. I suspect getting the performance from the database would be the real challenge.

Hi, how can i know and change the status to "downloaded" if the file download is already done downloading?
For example i want to download an mp3 file, since i used mime types i can't control and know that the download process is already finished..

Is there any other idea on how to? Coz in musicpass.com they can know if you have successfully finished downloading on the tracks.

Well, I would assume they are not just doing a standard download that links to a file on a server then.

Change the status of what?
Most browsers will automatically keep track of the "visited" state of links, all you really need to do is set up a CSS class that has the look you want "downloaded" items to have...
Rather than letting your web server serve files directly, you could write a script of some sort to serve them upon request, and record the download afterwards (being sure to avoid recording it if the transmission is interrupted). This isn't terribly reliable, and will probably add a fair bit of load to your server...
You could force users to install a custom application that does nothing but download files from your site and notify you after the download completes successfully. This is sure to drive away potential users...

am developed website. In that user logged in and next he go to other sites ex, google.com and he come back to previous page meam login page, then the system asks user to login again. how to maintain session values until unless user click clear session link?
Why is it that some sites know that user was logged in already while mine is not? Can anyone tell me what are the modification I have to do..?
I used C#,asp.net 2.0.

Does anyone have any suggestions for Customizable Image Coding?
Right now I have a small php code that I can get the TEXT in "code.php?text=TEXT" to display over an image, and alter its starting location on the image but it is standard windows text so I haven't been able to alter its scale, skew or orientation.
Obviously I'd like to be able to do something more like this

Where it seems like they have a designated text area that the text will deform to fit within where possible.
Any suggestions?

Obvously, this happens on the back end, unless you use/require SVG. SVG will show images, but not let you save them on the server, or the client.

Hi Guys,
I am having time converting date from email that i retrieved. I tried using Cdate(emailmsg.date.tostring) with this value "39633.56..", but it returns an error - Conversion from string "39633.5652777778" to type 'Date' is not valid.
Is there a way in asp.net vb coding where we can conver email date to a mm/dd/yyyy date format?

Dude, come on - you've posted three questions in this forum, each less related to web dev than the one it followed. You provide no context, apparently convinced that the solution you've picked to your unrevealed problem is appropriate in spite of your failure to achieve success, and assume that someone here will be able to point you in the right direction in spite of the shackles of ignorance you impose upon us. It's rude, and it's futile.
Near as i can guess, you're trying to write some sort of client that deals with email, possibly email messages containing HTML. There are plenty of good articles here covering all manner of related topics, to say nothing of the countless articles, RFCs, and newsgroup threads on the rest of the 'Net - i suggest you read some of them and attempt to gain a better understanding of this topic before continuing. Trust me, a half-day spent researching will save you weeks of frustration sure to arise should you continue with your current strategy of attempting to reverse-engineer a collection of what are, in fact, well-documented public standards. (assuming that's what you're doing... it's not like you've actually said)

Yes you are right. I already retrieved the email information and saved it into the database. Only one problem which I couldn't done it perfectly, data msg.date has this value - 39633.565... And I wanted to save it as datetime in the database

Just to have an html output.
for example if you have a string value of "the quick brown..." and when saving it into the file using savetofile("test.html") the result is in html format. It will automatically converted to html. once we use the savetofile command. But what I need is to convert it right away to html without saving it to the file.
My reason of this is because of regex expressions which will be using the regular expressions.
Do you think this can be converted by not using the savetofile?

If you want to add html tags either side of a string, you can. Your browser can show the string either way. I sure wouldn't bother displaying just a string and putting it in a table tho.

Yes, I actually resolved it now. I saved it into the table using the 'text' fieldtype. And when I retrieved it back it is in html format already.
