Looks like your Chrome is messed up. Perhaps cleaning out cookies/cached content may help.

Adding a file to your downloads links section in your articles omits the file sizes.

I used the article wizard and :
1) added a new file, which comes up on the right
2) added a line feed in the download list
3) clicked on the orange button which adds the file to the download list
In previous times the file size is appended to the download link text.

I was just reading through the messages on the first page, and was astounded how many of them were completely inappropriate: either general "gimmecodez," or questions involving other versions of Visual Studio.
Is there any way these messages can be "weeded out" without requiring umpteen #1 votes ?
best, Bill
"Humans are amphibians ... half spirit and half animal ... as spirits they belong to the eternal world, but as animals they inhabit time. This means that while their spirit can be directed to an eternal object, their bodies, passions, and imaginations are in continual change, for to be in time, means to change. Their nearest approach to constancy, therefore, is undulation: the repeated return to a level from which they repeatedly fall back, a series of troughs and peaks.” C.S. Lewis

It's almost a honey-pot trap for newbies.
Very, very interesting. I think I'm going to experiment.

Nevermind my last question. I've got the answer now. Nice one.

If I go to the Lounge and enter "yuan" into the bottom search box (the one that searches the forum rather than the entire site), I encounter a couple issues.
1) I keep getting different results. If I click "Go", see the results, click back on my browser, then click "Go" again, I see different results (or maybe they are sorted differently). The results should not change. Also note that it doesn't always toggle... I can repeat the process 5 times and still see the same results, but the 6th time it might show different results.
2) When I click the "Go" button and I see the message I'm looking for, then click "Just My Stuff", there are no longer any results (even though the message was posted by me and was on the search results page just before I clicked "Just My Stuff").
Some notes. This shouldn't be a caching issue, as I posted that message yesterday. Also, it doesn't seem to be server-specific, because I have seen different results on Web04.

We're doing a fresh crawl for our search servers. Should be good later this afternoon.

On the alternative tip screen I see:
You are in TEXT MODE. Use the [<>] button to switch back to WYSIWYG.
but I don't see such a button. I also don't see an encode button.

Sorry, you won't get any WYSIWYG, we all know you're a Console+Notepad aficionado.

I think there are still some in the second balcony who don't know that.

Which pageis this? The page to create a new alternative tip?
Which browser are you using?

I was posting an alternative tip, with IE8.
|
|
|

This is obscured by the tooltip thingy, so only the tip of the star is visible. This is problem under IE9, but not Chrome (both Win7).
|
|
|
|

IE9 or IE8? Or IE9 under "compatibility" (read: we break your HTML! For free!) mode?

Under IE9. This was happening both at work and home. I've re-tested and things are fine under IE9 and IE9 "Compatability" (though compatable with what I a unsure, the ravings of a lunatic.
The only way I can currently reproduce the problem is to run IE9 under IE7 Documents Standards. My home machine must have been running under this, but I have no idea why (the work machine is regularly switched, so it is possible there, though I don't remember doing so).
Quirks mode really lives up to its name: it displays the article in what looks like fluid format, and then removes the body under IE9.

I have gone to the following link: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/[^]
Input any keyword in a textbox for "Type an article name:".
Press enter.
Page refreshes and result opens in new window.
I checked in google chrome. Please check if it is a bug or only i am facing this.

It's not a search, it's a filter. Just start typing and the list of articles shrinks to only those that match the title you enter.

Then, you should disable enter Key press from there.
Because when i press enter Key, page refreshes.

I used the online submission wizard to submit an article today (over seven hours ago). When I submitted it, it said that it would be reviewed and posted. However, it then disappeared and I don't know where it is. It isn't in my drafts and it isn't in my articles list. Is it just invisible until it is reviewed? The article was on Zipping files in .NET 4.5 and it was submitted under C# -> General.
