Does the Paste As window popup when you paste? It should popup when you paste, and on pasting it should offer lots of options of how you want the pasted text to appear.

I'm not at home now Chris, I don't think that window appeared (I'll come back with a clear answer on that) but anyway, what is really strange is that the complete tip text lost the format it had just after pasting anything...
Ps: Shouldn't you be at home relaxing now?

Home? Relaxing?
Is it wrong that I'm in the office and just realised it's Saturday?

Not at all, unless Mrs. Chris thinks so...
Now that I've arrived back home, I've tested it and I can positively confirm you that no window/option appears, when I try to paste anything on the text a messagebox appears asking if I allow to access the clipboard and then the format apocalypse happens...

Do you, perchance, have your security settings defaults changed?

Strange, strange...
I can paste everywhere without issues (i.e. here I could paste whatever I would like to)...
I've disabled antivirus (I got Norton as it came with my wife... ).
I've went to IE10 internet options and set everything back to defaults.
Still the same behavior, except for the fact now the article starts directly messed up when I try to edit it...
PS: and now it seems the codeproject TV, pending to read items, user name, current points, sign out and the orange cross are not appearing to the right even I got fluid mode selected...

|
|
|
|
I've resetted everything regarding IE10: Ctrl+Shift+Del to remove any cookie,...
After reentering my log in details I've seen everything again correctly.
But when I try to edit any article or tip/trick I get this:

Hmm.
1. To save me hunting time, can you please send me the link to your tip
2. Have you tried this on another browser?

Of course I can: here is the Tip. Anyway this happens with any article / tip I've posted lately... In this one[^]I had to copy the image names from the right side of the editing window as it happened the same when pasting anything into the edition control.
Note: in all cases, pressing CTRL+Z went back to the correct format...
It works with chrome in windows XP...
I'm using IE10 in Win7...
Thank you!

I have just realize that...
If you report an Article or a Q&A Message, then you can see in the reputation history that you have only reported what you clicked. If it is necessary you should report the user as well for the infractions.
If you report a forum message, then you get two entries in the history, one is a Downvote for the forum message and the second one a report for the user.
Is it so by design or is it a bug? In my opinion, it should be as in the articles. You report the message, not the user.

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

Hi,
As per me If i am posting articles on data warehouse then how can i place it in general database section, or if doing post on SSIS,SSAS,SSRS then not finding sepereate categories for them, (excluding SSRS we can post under reporting services).
So if we have seperation on these then it will be easy to place proper article at proper place.
Is this possible to add new categories? i think if i am posting my article of ssis, ssas under database or reporting service then it will not justice to my article.
please take some action.
Regards
Mubin M. Shaikh

Why not just use tags like SSIS, SSRS, etc? If CP littered the categories with every technology out there then I think articles would be difficult to find or manage.

Follwing this thread[^], and shamelessly stealing the idea, I would suggest replacing the [Message automatically removed] by [Message sunshined] or [Message elephanted] or [Message sunshine elephanted] (c) @walterhevedeich

If that's how you make bug reports I feel sorry for your dev team
Maybe describe what the problem is? I see a picture and some stuff you've highlighted with your mouse, whatever "bug" you are describing is not apparent by the picture.
