Tracking System / Tracking Software using VB.NET

Hello sir/maam, can anyone help me about this tracking system? Its like a tracking a delivery package online, tracking where it is, who has it, and when will it arrive, But tracking it offline. Just a simple program that tracks documents and the people who has it.. if my inquiry is unclear feel free to ask or email me here

We don't have a clue about what you're talking about. What's a "document"?? Is this physical paper or something like a Word document??

Yes, the physical type. you know when you send a package to someone and you want to know where it, was it sent, was it not, or was it sent somewhere else? that kind of tracking. a

Sorry, which tracking system? You don't seem to have asked a question, just described the un-named tracking system. Can you please clarify the question?

The question is, is there any video showing me on how to create a package/document tracking system? Sorry if this was very misleading..

OK, so you have a database that records package items, their unique ID and who created the item and when, among other things. Then you have to have scanners (or terminals) with known locations that "scan" the package whenever they go through that point. That should generate a record that says "this package ID was scanned by such and scanner at this date and time".

You're going to have to fill out the rest of that with your specifics.

Yes, okay. Thank you for that. I have a Thumbprint scanner, can I use that for the ID purposes? And every time I scan it, a message box will appear that says like, "this package ID was scanned by such and scanner at this date and time". so what do you think?

A thumbprint scanner is not going to help you in this at all. It's not designed to scan a barcodes or any other tag type you attach to a package.

Not that I know of. This is not that hard and you're probably never going to find such a specific implementation of an application.

What's not to get?? You're NOT going to find an example that shows you exactly how to implement a package tracking system!
