Hello Dave,
Your comment is really understandable and I was indeed considering that option but as this section of the code still works on 99% of the time. This would be nice to get more information about the root cause of the exception before moving on Windows Communication Foundation strategy.
If you have any inputs which may be the cause, it would be a real pleasure to read them and exchange with you.
Thanks in advance.

Hello Richard,
Thank you for your comment but I am just wondering if this is normal only these two are failing and the other providers not. I just rely to gmapcontrol which offers these different providers and by just assigning them to gmapcontrol.mapProvider should render the selected map type. Maybe should I remove these two as it may required a token to invoke internally the gmapcontrol api request ? Do you have already played with gmapcontrol for yahoo and nearmap ?
Thank you very much in advance.
Best regards.

Hello OriginalGriff,
Thank you for your reply. I have the impression it was done to recreate the table with possible newly added columns as it starts from a dummy database but I cannot get the answer as the colleagure retired and the issue just comes out recently.
I have done exactly how you described and that fixes the issue but I was wondering why it has worked happily in the past without that pre-view deletion. It is just to be sure I do not miss something.
The modification sounds logical but wonder why this was not introduce at first instance.
Thanks again.

Hello,
Thank you for your Reply.
I did my own implementation of IPersistPropertyBag and I could reach it via a query interface on the put xxx property. The issue is how to create an instance of IPropertyBag and how to be sure this will be store in a resource location in the container. If you have already experience with these interface, I would be really glad to read good related links about it. What I found was most of the time related to MFC implementation and easily using the dopropexchange layer. If you have good atl related links about my query it would really be a pleasure to jump into. Thanks in advance. Best end seasons greetings.

Hello,
This code sample seems a good starting point for study base as it draws basic shape. Currently I cannot do too much as I have no idea how it behaves and I would like to collect more information to understand opengl better and then feel more confident on this topic. Do you have good udemy or other online rooms, I could apply to learn this graphical library. I hope they will cover opengl memory management as well.
CurrentLy I have two activex com object using opengl and they use the same init steps but they cannot be placed on the same form. This is why this sample is really good candidate for discussions. I can see the gllist shared between the two viewers seems to be the reason. Once I have more inputs I will share with you.
Thank very much in advance.

Hello Karen, Richard,
Thank you for your replies.
As I said, I have difficulties to collect more inputs as I do not have a direct link to the cumster having the issue. I will put that issue on hold as I will not reach a direct solution. I just found the IM might be an addins present on the customer pc which is not available on other computer. I have also modified DoPropExchange to improve the persistency as this might be an issue.
I send back the inputs to the manager and I will see what will be the next step.

Hello Richard,
I suppose you refer to:
<<
If your DLL is linked with the C run-time library (CRT), the entry point provided by the CRT calls the constructors and destructors for global and static C++ objects. Therefore, these restrictions for DllMain also apply to constructors and destructors and any code that is called from them.

private int m_Salary;

Hello ledtech3.
Yes I am talking about the right click "Run as Administrator" Option.
One of my application is always flagged with admin shield icon but I do not want it. Very stranged where this can be related to.
Where should I clear it from the registry ?
I found:
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2241769607-3162700916-239456858-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Compatibility Assistant\Persisted
and
HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-2241769607-3162700916-239456858-1000\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
But that did not change the behaviour, it is still set with the admin shield icon.
What could be the solution or the reason ?
Thank you very much in advance.
Michel.

Hello MarqW,
Thank you for your reply.
The goal of this thread is to manage requested from com interface and one request I need to provide is the creation of mdi child window. This is why I was simulating the requirement based on the sample code I provided. How would it be possible then to invoke such a request. Do you mean the main winform needs to support automation interface ?
Thank you very much in advance.

If I understand the best way will be to expose a .NET Remoting object (application life time) then creating a COM interop class library which will be used like a tunnel between the two communication solutions.
Is it what you have in mind ?

Is it what you have in mind ?

Hello Johan,
Thank you for you reply.
I would like to clarify your comment about ActiveX on WPF form.
Let's say I develop the MDI main application with WinForm window style, if I decide to encapsulate a WPF user control, will I use the DirectX drawing technilogoy or will this be routed to GDI+?
As I have lot of 3rd parties ActiveX controls, maybe do I have to use as you mentionend and then open a way for WPF Mdi Child form ?
What do you think ?
Thank you in advanced.
MiQi.
