The site doesnt require authentication at all. I have actually opened a new empty project to test with and it downloaded just fine, even without that security protocol. I even used the same url.

I have tried this security protocol. I have also checked the error message. All it gives is [The remote server returned an error: (500) Internal Server Error.]
When i try to download the file, it adds a file to the directory and it has a time stamp, but it also shows 0 bytes for the file size.

seems weird that there is an empty file actually placed in the destination directory. there shouldnt even be a file present at all if the destination is incorrect

I believe I may have figured out the issue after thinking on it while taking a break. I actually feel quite dumb for even doing it really. I had to add a logger to the application and for some reason i thought it would be a good idea to write files to the program directory. I know better than this. I am going to change the code to write the logfile in the AppData directory. I do know I havent added the above in the Manifest File, I knew I had no reason to add it. Most likely I was just too tired to realize what i was doing.

thats a problem there, we gain new users every day. if we create a whitelist of allowed users, then new users qouldnt be able to join. This is a service that anybody can use, not just a select geoup of people. I guess you can say that it is similar to codeproject or discord, etc

the problem here is that the user is using a VPN and virtual machines along with multiple email accounts. the user in question is being very negative in response to a temporary ban that they thought was unfair. IP has been banned, device id is banned l, yet they keep coming back. The owner has since added a cooldown to 3 messages per hour for free users, but this only helps so much.

Looks like you are going to have to process one line at a time with this one. First you are going to want to create an Excel Object and create a new Workbook and Worksheet. For the workbook and worksheet, you can use Excel to create a sort of template to fill in data. I don't know what the first 6 lines are for, but you can just strip these lines out seeing as you don't want to have them in the Excel Sheet anyway. On the line with the date/time/terminal id, split this string using a " " as the delimiter to split into an array and add them accordingly to the worksheet. After this, each line can then be split into an array using the ":" as the delimiter. Using "Select Case arr(0).tolower()", you can process which column in Excel that the arr(1) value gets placed into.

Someone may point you in the correct direction, so that you may research how to properly close a serial port connection. In this situation, it depends on how you are continuously reading from the serial port. Are you using multiple threads? Are you using timers?, etc... you probably should update you question with a few more details, so that someone may point you in the right direction.

sthat is due to the form being unloaded when you close the form. if you want to have it display the text every time it is opened, you will need to have a global variable to store the string in and in turn resetting the textbox to it each time the form is reopened

ok. i removed my previous solutions. sorry about that, for some reason the improve solution or remove solution buttos werent showing up on my end. i did know about those buttons. it had me confused myself when it wasnt showing up

i did figure out what the problem is. it has to do with the line where you get the attribute of an element. for some reason its not finding the class attribute. it is returning a null string. that is why the code does not appear to be entering the conditions

like stated above, place the buttons in a panel control, position the panel where you want it with the anchor set to bottom, right. if this doesnt work, then use the form's resize event to position the panel control.

you can use the mouse events to check coordinates to display the correct cursor, then ise the mousedown event along side a sendmessage api call for resizing. i cant quite remember the message or parameters to send via SendMessage for this to work. google "using sendmessage api to resize and move form"

use the keyup event. be sure to convert from a string to an integer or double. then use the if statement to check wether above zero or below zero. dont forget to take into account for a null string.

oops, just realized a mistake in my function code. in the function, on the line where i give the if statement, change the > 1 to = 0. this should do what you are wanting. i will update the solution to show what i am talking about

how and where exactly are you placing the selected context item to the richtextbox? we will need a bit more information on how you are doing this. the function will return only the word with out the text inside of the brackets.

it would be possible to do this with html and the webbrowser control, but not with the richtextbox control. the only problem would be if you were to want to edit the text which is why i am guessing you are using it in the first place. of course there are html editing controls out there also.

are the images stored in the same directory ad the running app? also, what is the point in declaring a variable with the file name if you arent going to use it.

I don't quite know how you are going about creating the printable content, but the code below works for me. It will show a printer selection dialog, so i can choose which printer I want to use. Then it will show the preview dialog so I know what the document will look like before printing. Then if i click the printer icon up top, the document will print to my desired printer. I have doPDF installed on my pc and it printed just fine. Is this what you are trying to acheive?
