All 3 fields which are records on 'select' from gridview which is on the form.

All the field work with the exception of the dropdown control

I have done that but it didn't work please.

Don't underrate some questions. It looks so simple if you already know it.

The issue at hand is that I'm doing a query which will return results to a gridview.

There is the need to have enable select to select the results from the query to populate the form.

Is there a way to program the gridview?

The Datasource in the markup was generated automatically when I pulled the gridview.

However when I tried to change

GridView1.DataSource = dsas;

to

GridView1.DataSourceId = dsas;

it gave an error

when I also removed it I was not getting the search results required.

Viewing a form created

DataTable dt = ds.Tables[0];

what does 'ds.Tables[0]' mean

The user can next select the records in the resultants in the gridview to fill the form.

What I want to do is to search for records from 'loanmaster' tables which meets the specified criteria

and then load the results of the search into the gridview ans display the first record out of the criteria in the text boxes on the form.

Both DataSource and DataSourceID are defined on 'GridView1'. Remove one definition.]

The problem I am facing is that I have a drop down list on a form and each time the data is uploaded the value in the record which feeds into the control of the drop down list is not updated on the form.

for instant I have a drop down list with 2 options "Active" and "Inactive"

1. I have stored "Inactive" for a particular person, however each time I select the person from the gridview the drop down list doesn't change to "Inactive" but "Active" comes up
