So without knowing C++ at the professional level, you can't say yourself a software engineer of international level. Moreover, it really tests how much logical you are or it tests your capability? Thats the main reason....
On Windows C++ has no future. Everything will be done in C#/VB.NET. Like it or not.

How do you think, in what language was (and will be) written VB.NET itself?

Just practice!
I would suggest reading one or two books by the recognised C++ gurus so you can learn how to do things the recommended way.
Scott Meyers's Effective C++ and More Effective C++ for example. Some of the STL books, e.g., Josutiis's C++ Standard Library.

So whats stopping you? It's just another event like any other event that occurs. Depending on the IDE your using (VS 6.0, VS2003 or VS2005) dictates how you overload events.
VS 6.0, Right click on the class and scroll down to Events.

Is it possible to have the Find in Files combo on the VS8 toolbar instead of the Find combo? I often do the search in Entire Solution, and it would be very handy to bypass the popup dialog in most cases.

Wait a minute, are you confusing C++ with Java? In C++, the corresponding source and header names can be different from the class names. If it's Java, the corresponding source file should be CDib.java, the source file name has to be the same as the class name. But not in C++.
As to why the orginial author uses a different name, you'll have to ask him.

They are different what problems?
