The spam and abuse forum is a place to report content that may have slipped past other members. To have content removed, multiple members need to report a piece of content (or a member's account) and so if you find something abusive, or that is spam, hidden in a seldom visited corner of the site you can report it here so others can review and report (and hence close) if necessary.
Please note:
- If you catch an author plagiarizing, please close the article and report and close the account, unless the author is a very active member who has otherwise behaved themselves. Here is our Plagiarism FAQ if you have any questions about what qualifies.
- Do no report users who post Press Releases, unless it is obviously unrelated material
- If you catch spam in the Message Moderation queue, please mark it as spam (rather than deleting it) so that the spam catcher can learn.
- It is OK to report abusive language as spam in the Message Moderation queue.
- In Quick Answers, please allow users to answer old questions unless they are spamming.
- If you think someone is breaking a site rule, but are uncertain, you can look at our Terms of Service
- When in doubt, ask for assistance from an admin.

why do you still keep me on that list?
my account has been restored 3 times just to get closed again after some days.
the account is alive because i didnt do anything bad.

That list is automatically generated from posts in this forum that have reported misbehaving accounts which have not yet been closed. But mistakes sometimes occur, usually because of an undeserved report.
@OriginalGriff was probably never told about your account being restored. Now that he knows, he will delete your account from the list.
@sean-ewington, it sounds like Joerg's account needs to be restored again.

Sorry about that - I automated the reporting process a few years back when we had massive spam waves, but it relies on site scraping to pick up the last weeks reports. If an account is restored and the link isn't removed from S&A the app can't tell (as the only way to get a "reports count" is to report the account!)
I've asked Sean if it would be possible to remove the link when the account is restored - and Admin only function - and he's a helpful fellow so there is a good chance it shouldn't happen again. I'll keep an eye out next Sunday and remove you from the "kill these please" list if you appear.

I have gone back to page 17 where the original message started and deleted all appearances in the "still alive" up to now.
@OriginalGriff would you mind to check if "jörg Plate" comes again when you generate the list?

@sean-ewington Hi mate - when you restore an account, would it be possible to delete the links in S&A as well to prevent this happening again? That's the simplest solution to this as it only involves one person! (And it's a pretty simple piece of SQL as well, I'd guess)
