The block could be as big as whole code in that file or class. I.e., if it's required, you can do so for the last bracket and whole code will be formatted. But in most cases, you only modify part of the code in different times.

No, no, you have to write perfect code first, then you never have to reformat I'm joking, but if you write your code in the correct order you really need the auto-formatting not to often.

Its not proper way.
Its something like you have to take care for each code block!

after erasing ,retype } then only VS IDE will format the code between that } and its corresponding {.condition applied:there is no syntax error.
