Main page in standard mode and iframe in comaptibility mode(Quirks)

We have legacy application developed in classic asp and must be rendered in compatibility mode (Quirks) to work But we have implemented other application with latest technology stack which must be rendered in standard mode.

We are opening the classic application pages in other application in iframe and deployed to production. We did high level of testing working good. When it comes to functionality some parts of the stuck and not going forward that is because old way of defining the accessing the DOM elements.

we did lot of research inside and through forums but did not receive the result.

Shall we make two different compatibility settings for page . If no , Kindly share your inputs to make it work.
