On server side or client side? JavaScript can be on both, but what about Python? In other words, its unclear how they can be options.

I have developed web application using Django. In my Web application I have used Highcharts to represent the data. The data is going to be changed based on the Date the user selects.
I need a button in the webpage, By clicking itself the pdf of web page should be downloaded.
