Google custom search api results seems to be different from google.com search

When i do the search in google custom search api results seems to be different from google.com search,why is it?

This is what i search "AJ Michalewicz" "Bloomberg" , google return me 3 results, custom serach api give me one result."

You would have to ask google directly since we do not have access to the algorithm that google.com uses nor the one the search api uses.

But it would appear you are not sending the same exact query, for example, from google.com they use your country and your search history to help in the results. I doubt the api does that. But you'll have to ask google directly.
